I have a 1998 buick lesabre FWD, 4 speed auto with overdrive, 3.8 liter 3800 series II motor. The motor has gone to hell. I am looking into putting a new motor in it and I am looking at this 3.8 liter ssupercharged ssei 3800 v6 from a 1995 pontiac bonneville, FWD 4 speed auto with overdrive. I am just wondering if it will be compatible. Will the computer accept it. What problems might I run into if this is even possible at all. I am not mechanically handy. I really appreciate any helpful answers. Thank you.

Is it true you should let the engine run for 5 to 10 minutes before driving, if your car is left out in the blistering cold?? Or is it fine to just jump in and take off???

What would cause the tranmission to drop from the drive gear to 3'd while it was in idaling at a stop sign? I then proceeded to highway speeds at 5300 RPM's and wouldn't drop the normal highway RPM range. How long should I drive with that high of RPM, what do you think happened.

I have a 92 Camry 4 cylinder 2.2 liter. I have a 5 inch hairline crack at the top plastic part. I'm a poor student so I really short on money. Does the repair kit at Kragen work to fix it? How much would it cost to replace it? Does anyone know a place online/or on the phone to order a new radiator for cheap? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

My car hesitates really badly on acceleration. It is a 99 vaux corsa. It has had alot of work done luckily all under warranty including a new crank shaft sensor, idle control valve, mass air flow sensor, new air & oil filters, throttle body repair, oil changes. My EGR valve seems to be working fine and the lambda sensor seems to be fine. I have also changed the fuel filter and used a number of bottles of fuel system cleaners and catacleaners. Is there anything else it could be other than being a crap car?

I'm thinking longterm: maintenance, reliability, etc. I tend to keep a car nearly 10 years.

Does an alternator work harder at higher gears and speeds or does it just recharge the battery just as hard when the car is in park?

I have a 1995 Toyota Corolla and just recently left my keys locked in the car which drained the battery temporarily, then I got a boost from another car and now runs good for past 2 days, however today when I was turn slowly in the parking lot the steering wheel would lock up and be hard to turn and the battery light would come on. The car never shut off but was so hard to turn slowly and the battery light would come on, then I'd manage to get the car straight again and it would drive as usual, any clues or help as to what the problem could be? Thanks.

I have a 98 Chevy Cavalier. What happens is when I leave the car in the shade it starts no problem. If it's left out in the sun for several hours it cranks and eventually turns over. I've noticed that if I give it gas it will fire right up. But it is wierd to me that it works in the shade and doesn't work when it's in the sun. At first I thought the battery was bad so I got it replaced, but it's still cranking. The car has 75,000 miles. Would it be a bad vaccuum hose (I saw that had to do with hot and cold from "Hard starting 2001 Cavalier)?

When I back up I can hear a clanking and clicking. When I brake I hear a shuffle sound, and now recently the same sound when I'm driving. (continuos shuffle) I feel like the problem is getting worse, from the right side, is it a tire issue, and if so what is the problem?
