my son was driving up a hill in the snow and his drive shaft broke and wrecked alot parts under the car there was a horrible sound and he ws able to pull the truck over on the highway .I am wondering if the extra insurance we got when we bought the truck last summer will pay for the job of fixing it? thanks

Sounds like lack of maintenance. good luck getting it covered the actually failure was most likely a u-joint and they don't go bad very quickly

I've spent a lot of time on hold trying to get extended warranty company's to cover stuff on cars

If you mean extended warranty by the term insurance, then I would think so. Those usually cover drivetrain components.

very rarely does the drive shaft break. chances are one of the u-joints broke. coverage will depend on the details of your policy.
