do i have to take the whole dash apart or is there an access panel of some sort on the bottom

You got good answers so far if your car has AC you may need the refrigerant evacuated. I recommend you take it to a repair shop for that part

i own a repair shop,and there might be an access panel on it,,if there's not you,ll have to remove the heater box from it,,this can be done without removing the dash from it,,but its a tight fit to get it out,,i usually remove the dash part of the way anyway to make it easier,to do,,but its been a while since i have done one of these look it over and see if yours does have the panel,,some of the continentals had them,and yours might have one also,,good luck with it i hope this help,s

This is a very large job and if you don't know what you are doing, could really bite you in the ***. I recommend taking it to a Good garage and get the job done by a pro. The job pays about 8 or 9 hours so don't cheap out on this.
