Recently, a passenger in the back of my car told me I needed new suspension. How can I tell for sure? I've been paranoid that the car is bouncing more than it did, but I have no idea if that is even a tell-tale sign.

Had my car in the shop yesterday- they didn't touch anything under the hood, they just adjusted my brakes, and put my snow tires on (family friend mechanic, so I trust him) but now when I accelerate, my car is making a high pitched whizzing noise. It's hard to explain- it's not loud or obvious, but it's there. It almost sounds like something is spinning really fast- the faster I accelerate, the faster the whizzing/whirling noise gets. Anyone have any idea what could cause that?

I am working on a pontiac bonneville. It starts very hard and when it does, it runs with a miss and runs quite rough and wont develop power. I had the three coil packs tested at autozone they said they were fine. The first time when I got it running the catylytic converter glowed so i thought it may be plugged. the second time it ran it didnt get hot (did it get hot the first time from a miss giving the cat. more unburned fuel that usual??) the second time I drove it and it had power for about three minutes, then it died.. Thanks for any ideas

I've been a racer for 17 years but have been hibernating for a bit. I have a 2006 Honda Civic LX that I want to put an exhaust on. Back in my day Dynomax was the one to choose and I used it on my 13.8 sec DX.

But now I don't want the loud noise, I want an exhaust that is quite but has the performance also.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If a ball joint breaks on a car while it is turning into a parking space can it throw the car out of control and/or cause one or more brakes to lock up? Even if the tire does not fall off ? Will greasy or oily substance be thrown over the front of the car and on the tire opposite the one with the broken ball joint?

My alternator is shot and the garage is ten miles away. Temps are in the single digits here. The car needs about twenty minutes warm-up time. Once I get it started can I run the heater if the battery is connected to the charger and not lose battery power?

I am so unlucky in the way of owning a running vehicle that it's not even funny. The first day I got my 93 Nissan Altima the battery was dying. I changed the battery, connections are nice and tight, the battery was running 14 volts before I took it from Autozone. This morning I went out after changing the battery Yesterday, and the car would not start. I used my father's power tester, it was at .01 volts.
The alternator is cranking fine, I had it checked after I installed the battery. So...Advice? Who do I have to kill to have a working car? *cries*
