Had my car in the shop yesterday- they didn't touch anything under the hood, they just adjusted my brakes, and put my snow tires on (family friend mechanic, so I trust him) but now when I accelerate, my car is making a high pitched whizzing noise. It's hard to explain- it's not loud or obvious, but it's there. It almost sounds like something is spinning really fast- the faster I accelerate, the faster the whizzing/whirling noise gets. Anyone have any idea what could cause that?

Does the noise go in time with your road speed? If it does its your snow tires. Remember they are always louder then your summers

maybe the tire aren't balanced . maybe the brakes too tight . maybe you didn't let go off the hand brakes . maybe that's the alarm for "NOT TO DRIVE FAS ON SNOW"
