my speedometer does not work or my wipers wht could it be? both stopped at the same time?

i got in the car on the first snow fall the wipers worked at first, turned em off went to leave and neither the wipers or speedometer were workin and the check engine light came on the next day

It sounds to me like you may have a bad ignition switch.
In most newer cars EVERYTHING goes through the ignition switch and with that kind of amperage draw just one segment can go bad and not the others.

for the speedometer there i s plug that goes connected to the tranny, it may have gotten disconected and since the plug i schecked by the tranny sensor then you get a check engine light, aboout the whipers, the engine might have died or possitive wire, negative wie or ground wire might have gotten disconnected.
