My blower motor only has two settings now. Off or High. The dealer says it is a resister, and the part cost $10.70. But I can't get the blower motor unplugged under the dash. The motor is easy to get to.

and - they keep asking if its a F 150 custom R cab or S cab or XL or xlt
I dont know which one it is. It is short bed flare (side step)

Can someone please tell me if I will be able to fix these scratches on my car myself or will I have to take it into a body shop? And if I can fix it on my own what should I use?

Waater pump had a leak, so I replaced it. I bleed the car and still no heat and it was overheating, than I replaced the thermostat and same thing, no heat, it not the heater core, and when I drive the heat will eventually come back on but soon as i stop so will the heat. Can someone please help me I don't know what to do.

I have a 1994 Toyota Celica ST. I've experienced some steering resistance and squeaking when it starts. It recently stalled on the road. I know for a fact the serpentine belt needs to be replaced and believe this was what happened. The car was towed to my mechanic and I didn't get a chance to take a look (it was lent to a friend when it broke down). Now my mechanic said the alternator is no good and offered $230 to replace it (with a rebuilt one, when I asked), on top of the serpentine belt. I asked if it might run for a while without replacement and he doubted it and it doesn't sound good. He said he might be able to take it apart and "repair" it, something about the bearings.

He later said $125 for the "repair". I've been doing some research online and have not come across any instances of "alternator repair". Is this at all possible? Or am I being scammed (you either replace alternator or don't)? What Qs should I ask him?

I changed my battery and starter less than a year ago.

I've noticed when I hit the switch to adjust the driver's seat, my overhead light flickers and I can't adjust the seat. Does this mean that my car battery is low and it is causing my seat problems?

i just put a 600cfm carb on my 383 and was test driving it. it is tune from the factory to be pretty close to the right tuning. i took it out and tried gunning it from about half trottle to full and there was not really an increase in speed or rpm(i think i dont have a tach) why is that? could the secondarys be not tuned right?

We had it at mechanics yesterday they changed hoses cost $150 didnt fix problem, back there again today they are changing coil but are not sure that this is the problem will cost another $150.... yet dont guarantee it will fix the problem - sometimes backfires on start, other times just driving along and suddenly runs rough and then backfires and blows the air filter cover off then will drive ok again until next time.... anyone got any ideas sick of going to mechanics that charge to do things that dont fix the problem very frustrating, Like I said the car ia a real lemon, had a new radiation system put in then motor blew up , replaced motor only been 3500km since new motor, was serviced at 500 km and not due again until 5000km, is it something to do with lpg system...

How hard is it to replace both? Can a shock absorber replace a strut? Any advice? I am a "jack of all trades" and have done mechanical work yet have never replaced either item. Can I buy struts with the coil attached?

my car is puttering when I aclerarate and when I'm at a stop. Auto shop diagnosed my car and said I needed to replace my o2 sensor before the Catlitic converter, I replaced that and its still puttering, Can anyone tell me why ?? Thanks

My son's 1978 Camaro has mags on it. The car shakes at higher speeds (50+). Already had the tires balanced. Helped but still shakes. Is there any sort of fitting/gasket available to take up the space between the oval holes in the mags and the round bolt for the lug nuts
