ive got a 96 chevy s10 4 cyl 2.2 liter, 2 years ago the spark plug in my #4 cylinder popped out of the head and had to have it helicoiled. I havent had any problems until recently my truck would missfire during idling and the check engine light came on so i had the codes scanned and sure enough it was #4 again, i didnt realize that cylinder #4 was the one that had been helicoiled until i pulled the plug off and the helicoil came with it, i replaced the plug and new helicoil for the time being and it seems to run normally, i have to drive from missouri to seattle do you think i could make it, its about 2 and half days, i dont have time to repair the head and dont know how safe it is?

Looking for a good detailed set or wiring diagrams that can tell me what the different color wires corresponds to in the wiring harness in the rear of the car near the tail lights.
I know the black wire is ground.
But dont know that the other 10 wires are for?
Turns?Stops? Parking?

Okay, so the rear defroster/defogger doesn't work.
It doesn't turn on, the button doesn't light up, and I hear no sounds or anything at all. I haven't been able to find any information online, useful or not. If someone could tell me where the connectors for it are it would be very helpful, because I don't want to remove the ceiling lining not knowing if the line even goes on the roof or if it goes elsewhere. I've looked for books but haven't been able to find it. All fuses are okay, all relays are okay.
Also, my vents don't close although I hear a clicking sound when I push the button and the AC doesn't work although there is freon inside and there is pressure, when you turn on the fans, the AC light turns on as well as if the AC works but it doesn't and cannot be turned off. If this helps in anyway since it's all on the same pannel.
Someone please help.

Thank you in advance.

The vehicle is a 1991 Honda Accord the problem seems temp. sensitive being worse in cooler weather. This sounds like a relay but i've checked the wiring schematic and there isn't one. The only thing else i can think of is the switch its self which is very expensive. Any alternatives or suggestions are appriciated.

It's `94 honda accord and I checked all the fuses and they seem to be fine. I was thinking it could be my starter but i am not sure. I am hoping that I didnt fry my computer. Does any one have any advice to what the problem could be before i take it in to get looked at? If it's the starter i can do that myself i just dont want to have to pay somebody to fix apart i can do myself. Thank you!

I am planning to buy my next car with that in mind, thus it could be easily repaired when traveling deep in each country. That info would be very helpful for a lot of travelers like students, researchers, explorers, business men, etc. What about Toyota Corolla, Ford Freestar, Chrysler Stratus (Dodge in USA) among others, they have the same model name but what about their cataloged auto parts?. We can avoid local models like: VW caribe, Nissan Tsuru, Nissan Platina among others. Having a mechanical problem can cost you a huge amount of time and money looking-waiting for that auto part, things that I would like to avoid, planning in advance. What type of make and car model do you recommend me?.

Hi. I have a mark 1 1993 clio rsi and I m wondering whether all mark 1 clio tailgates/boots will fit my rsi, as it has a big dent in it and would be too expensive to panel beat.

I drive a nissan altima 1998.
When ever I ease on the accelerator from a stop I hear a sound and feel a vibration through the petal. the sound is kinda like two slabs of metal with sticky substance between them and rubbed up against one another. or kinda like a low tone clicking or clapping sound.
the sound lasts about half a second to a full second and no other problems exist during or after the sound.
any ideas on what this could be??

I've been running 93 octane gas for years ,recently I changed the distributor .Now the car knocks somewhat, and we tried adjusting the timing ,but it still knocks .Is there any chance lowering the octane would help with the knocking (as someone suggested to me)and should I try 87 or 89.?

I'm trying to replace the rubber sections of lines on an 89 LeSabre T Type. I'm trying to unscrew the connectors from the hoses, but they're pretty rusty. I've tried lots of PB blaster and so far I've gotten one off, but I've partially stripped two others.

Any suggestions as to how to get these unscrewed without stripping any more? Any suggestions on how to get the stripped ones off?? :(
