check the voltage regulator, you could also use a current tester to see if something may have gotten fried, like the starter or voltage regulator or the computer. besides the fuses in your dashboard or on the inside somewhere there should also be some fuses under the hood as well. if you dont find the problem by then i would probably just pay for a diagnostic test beings you sound mechanically inclined and could fix the problem yourself after you get the diagnosis. mechanics are expensive by the hour. and i ll bet you can find some cupons for a diagnostic test in those free books at all the convienant stores. good luck!

hmmm, lots of potential answers...
Will anything work like the lights and radio and horn and stuff?
What if you quickly connect the battery directly to the starter? Would it work then? I'm thinking that some fusible links may have melted. They are like fuses, but are in the wiring harness. Check all the wires coming off the positive battery terminal and check for any that look melted. You might also want to use a test light and check voltage along the cables that come off the battery terminals too to see if it stops anywhere.

Sounds like you did fry your computer or maybe just a few chips....have it towed to a Honda dealership and they can test all your circuits.
Most auto parts places can test your starter for you free of charge take it your local Napa if you have one close by and they will test it for you, also Auto Zone does free testing.
Good Luck

you either blew a fuse or a circuit breaker or it is possible depending on how long you left it connected, when it was backwards, you could have melted a wire which would need to be found and replaced. it is also possible that the battery that you got is either not charged or is bad battery even though it may be new

there is a fusible link that normally runs from the battery to the starter. You probably melted it. Buy a new link and replace it, otherwise tow it to a shop who knows what they are doing.
good luck

when you crossed wires,it probably feed back into the starter.yes you can fix it yourself, just unhook the battery and make sure you tag the wire on the starter so you wont get them mixed up.
