First make sure you have fuel. If so check for spark. etc. could be many things. Start with the basics. Good luck!!

I work at a honda repair shop.
Is the car turning over too fast if so probably a problem with a timing belt, next check spark.
We have replaced a few igniters, lots of coils.
If you have spark check and see if the fuel pump is kicking on if not take your left hand while you are cranking the car and strike the left side of the dash beside your knee and between your door and the dash. If this causes the car to start then you have a bad main relay. Go see your local Honda Dealer for the part.

Ok, i will assume that you have gas in the tank. Can you hear the fuel pump in the gas tank? Usually if you turn the key to the on position, you can hear the pump doing its buzzing sound. If not, tap the tank with a small hammer. Sometimes this will dislodge the pump and start the car. Replace the pump when this happens. You can check the fuel relay and or fuse too, just to make sure you are getting power at the fuel pump. You can test this by putting a test lite on the wires going to the electric pump and teun the key on. If the tester lights up, then you are getting power to your pump, and you know to change thefuel pump olcated in your gas tank. Another easy test is to spray some carb cleaner directly into the intake hose leading into the fuel rail. If the car starts and then stalls right away, then you know that the fuel pump is not working. Tow your car to a local garage. They need to drain the tank, remove the tank, remove and replace the fuel pump and sending unit. This normally runs about $200 to repair.
good luck...............

for an engine to run it needs.
1. Fuel
make sure you have fuel.
if yes
then check if its gettin to the engine
Fuel pump which is electric in the tank
2. Air
Like a blocked air cleaner clean the air filter replace it but this is not the problem I will bet.
3. Spark
now check if the spark is getting to the plug, pull a boot off and have a friend hold it as close to metal to ground it as possible while you turn it over. the spark should be visible or it will zap the piss out of him or her. If this in not happening then you might need to check your ingnition system. it has to be one of the three

I have a 91 honda. Problems I' ve had that makes it do that are... Not enough feul (even though the tank said I had enough to get to the gas station). Dead battery. An Alternator that was going bad, & sucked the battery almost dead. A bent spark plug. And a wire that my "micanic" had recently mixed up with another wire....
mind you that these have all happened over the years, not all at once.

Pull a plug wire and hold it close to metal while someone cranks the engine, if you have spark, its the fuel pump. If no spark, pop open cap n rotor and look for corossion or broken pieces.

You have a fuel problem. Either it isn't getting any or it isn't igniting. I assume you have gasoline in the car. (It has to be asked) Next, you would want to check your spark plugs and wires. If it was damp out when this happened it is a good chance your wires are bad. If it was not damp it is most likely plugs.

try this take the oil cap off, get a flash light, and get some one to turn the engine over while the engine is turning over look in the oil hole to make sure the camshaft is turning with the engine if it is not your timing belt may be stripped or broken.
