While replacing the head gasket on my '91 Chevy Blazer, I had to remove the exhaust manifold. It came off easy enough, but when I tried to place it back on, it was off almost 1/2 in. I've tried everything. Does anyone know why this would happen or have any idea how to get it back on? ANY suggestions are welcome.

Ok, So the Check Engine light on my 1998 Toyota Corrola came on after I started using lower octane fuel 87, instead of normal 89 or 91, which I usually fill up with. And I went to the local auto zone and they connected their computer up to it, and It stated that my catalytic converters effecieny was lower than the computer recommended. I had them delete the reading, and went back to higher octane fuel. Why had this happend, are the two related? And no the light has yet to return.

I have hard water stains on my Black Lincoln Towncar. The water is from the sprinkler system in my front yard. The water left hard, calcium like deposits and will not wash off.

What is the best way to remove these spots from black paint or a chrome finish?

The whole tube with the nut rotted away from the intake manifold. We tried to get the remainder of the nut out of the manifold with an ez out, but no luck. Could an auto shop retap the hole without replacing the intake manifold?

I'm new to the whole driving thing, and I wanted to know how frequently I should change my oil and check my tire pressure. I know how to change the oil, but I only need to know when. I have a Pen thing that will messure the tire pressure, but I have no idea at what number I should be looking for. I drive a 94' Volvo, if that helps anything. Thankyou for your help.

Anyone help with diagnosis?

Manual trans grinds when shifting and sometimes won't go into gear, this happens in all gears, if you rev up the engine at a stop then it will go in gear but sometimes will still grind.

Does this sound like a clutch problem or inside the trans

The truck will inexplicably stop running to where he has to pull over to the side of the road. The truck engine won't even turnover when this episode happens. After 5 minutes, though, he can start truck back up and it runs perfectly. What's wrong?

I have a 99 camaro the climet controle is manual (there is an actual cable that opens and closes the blend air door when you turn the knob), the problem all started when i turned the air temp knob from cool to heat and back to heat really fast. The blend air door got stuck and i had to take hvac cable off to manually turn air blend door back to the cool position. in the cool position the door doesnt seem closed good and air compressor does not turn on. when the blower is on and i manually turn air blend door slightly back to the heat posion (to alow air to be heated by heater core) the door slams shut and is hard to manually open due to a vacume effect. why doesnt my compressor come on anymore? what causes the blend air door to get stuck?
