Boy did you miss the boat! Now that annoyance a light that won't turn off. You won't win this one with me because I own $100,000 of tools and work at a Nissan Dealership. The complexity of new cars, sometime recalls and saftey things the dealer will do is why you come back. I hope you changed oil before 5,000 miles and try to do it every 3,700 or so because we stop and go and use A/C you should. Jiffy lube might know or Toyota owners club. Hope I don't have to call the EPA you did dispose of the old oil properly. Just because you did not want to pay 24.95 for toyota quick oil change. And what Toyota will say if you need engine work at 36,000 miles

take a look at your warranty for the car..can you prove to the dealership that you are doing your oil changes?
Is it really worth saving 10 bucks on the oil change...did you get the rust off the inside of the wheels when you rotated, what is the torque specks of the tires..
You don't have to go to the dealer to get the car serviced..you can go to an independant garage..but i hope you have the skills to do these jobs..there is a reason why a mechanic has to go to school..

Cub cowboy has it right. It is all in the owners manual for how to do it. I did it on mine last month. While I was there I changed my door locks to open when you put the car into park. The factory settings have it only opening the drivers door, and if the other doors need to be unlocked , you'd have to press the button to do that for the others. Read the manual!

to no longer contradict Tom M's outstanding answer, yet Toyota does no longer advise fluid differences or flushes in typical provider. Your 2006 makes use of WS fluid, which Toyota calls "lifetime" fluid. Draining and filling isn't risky yet flushes are. in case you're set on having it flushed, have the broker do it.

put the key in, go to acc, hold the mileage/trip button and watch the numbers. they will all go to zeros then one after another will go away, when it is done start car and light is gone.
or
if you don,t have a scanner then you can disconnect the battery cable for a couple of minutes that will reset it but it will also reset your clock and pre-set radio stations so you will have to re-program them too

with the key on engine off push the odemeter reset button until the mileage is showing then turn the key off. push in and hold the odemeter reset button in and hold it then with the other hand turn key on and engine off and wait until the light flashes and goes out then turn the key off and then start the car if the light comes back on repeat the steps again

look in your owner's manual it should tell you. If it don't take it to your dealer...it's 100% covered under the warranty so it won't cost you anything.
