Did you view this with your own eyes did you have a witness to this event, If so call the police have a report made. File suit in a court of law seeking retribution on your own is no better than the person that did that to you.

The only thing you can do is take them to civil court and file an action against them. You should also talk to the police and see if there is a criminal action you can bring against them (in most areas I can think of at least one!). Then just swear out a warrant for their arrest.

If you can prove it you can make them pay for professional removal or possibly a repaint. If you do it to them, (now that you have said this to 10 million people on Yahoo!), and they happen to catch you on video tape, you could spend time wearing an orange jumpsuit.

File a police report. Take them to court. But DON'T even think about doing the same to their vehicle. That would only bring you down to their level.

if you know who did it then call the police and file a report, if you can prove it they will have to pay for fixing your paint what ever has to be done and they will most likely get like 200 hours of community service.

well you can take them to small claims court if you can prove they did it.
On the flip side...paybacks are fun...just don't get caught. And I wouldn't do the same thing to them they did to me...that almost makes it obvious that you did it to them.
Be creative and be patient..don't do it right away. A potatoe up the tail pipe is a good one...it will make their car overheat right away or maybe it won't even start.
Another good one is grease on the windshield wipers...this messes them up big time.
Get some pepper spray and spray it on their door handles...when they rub their eyes or scratch their balls...ouch.

If this had happened to me and I knew the party responsible for it I would pay a group of local thugs to hold him down while I spray painted him. If this isn't justice, I don't know what is.

To make them pay, try your county small claims court. For pay back, try a rag soaked in brake fluid, and wipe down their car(s).

go to their house at night
beat on the house until they come out
beat on them until they are almost dead
leave before the cops get there
a mans vehicle is off limits for vandalism if you got a problem with somebody take em' to the mat don't be a punk vandal it just makes you look weaker.
