Maintenance & Repairs - August 2006

To dodgeman. It is in time right but for some reason it's not getting fuel to the plugs. Any help is greatly appreciated.

i drive a mercedes with a v8 engine and everyone tells me that v8 have terrible gas mileage but my gas lasts for quite some time in my car. i'm just curious to see what the actual gas mileage is on my car.

i have changed the starter cylianoid and igniton switch i have just changed the termanles a week ago i have started checked and still when i turn the key to the start postion i hear one click and loose all power for 30 sec to 2 or 3 min then it just comes back on

The guy who just did my inspection said I'm due for new ones sometime within the next 1,000 miles, so I'm just looking at my options. Midas seems like the best one so far.

I have an '89 Hyundai Sonata. The car runs well-when it will start. About half the time I go to start it it won't turn over. The battery is good and the connections work fine. If I continue to turn the key over and over (and pray and curse at it) it will eventually start. Any ideas?

I keep looking on all these different websites that have "parts locators", but "torsion bar" is never in their lists of items and I was just wondering if there is a different search term I could use, like "suspension" or "knuckle"...I don't know what these things are or do so... Help! Please! Also, if you could point me to a place where I can find the specific part I need that would be Excellent Great! I need a driver's side 41 inch torsion bar for a '95 Chevy Astro Van AWD. I do NOT want a 36 inch bar w/ an extension, because I'm afraid if I put that on and still have my original 41 inch on my passenger's side, it will mess something up.

For the past few months my speedometer sporadically works, sometimes my gas gage doesn't work and my odometer doesnt work sometimes?? It's like all my gauges are messed up. What could it be? How much to get fixed??

I have a 1996 Geo Prizm, thats about all I know about cars. Today when I was driving, I could hear a very quite knocking sound. When I drove home I could hear it a little louder. When I drove home from the gym it got really loud. When I would stop it would stop and when I drove faster, it got louder. I think I need new brakes, could this have anything to do with it?

The fuel pump saftey switch under the dash seems to be popped out, how do you get them to reset? COuld it be the fuel pump? Need help don't want to put any more money intothis money pit!

Turn the key and acts like no juice except you can hear the fuel pump humming. Tried useing my remote starter and it cranked right over.what's up with that? It's also not getting fuel it'll crank but that's it. Fuel filter maybe?

Goes forward fine but has a kick to it. Checked fluid levels fine. Serviced about 15000 miles ago. Think new filter and flush might help or am I probably going to need new trans?

It makes it difficult to perform maintenance such as changing spark plugs, replacing components, etc.Is it done on purpose to deter us from working on them? I would much rather give up seating or storage space for a bigger engine compartment.

I wrecked a 2003 Ford Taurus in May of 2005. They body damage estimate was over $9000.... I don't wanna go there if ya know what I mean! I know that a Mitsubishi Eclipse has the same engine and drive train, but is it really compatable with that engine? Insurance didn't cover my new car, and I've still got $6000 left on it.
