I have a 1999 ford explorer that has the check engine light on and it runs real rough. I had the code checked and it is a misfire in the number 3 cylinder. I replaced the plugs all the way around with autolite platnum plugs and the problem returned in one day. There seems to be some oil on the plug, not alot but some. Not sure what to do next.

Have got a leak in the system somewhere - down approx. 1cm below the minimum in top up tank - terrible noise when trying to steer - topped it up - fixed the problem - week later, same problem, fluid back to the same level. I am going to take a look at the weekend to try and track down the leak - is there anything I should know before I attack it ? would be grateful for any useful tips - never messed with the power steering system before and not exactly sure how it works etc.

Thanks

I'm looking for a self-help solution. I don't want to get a new brake light installed. If you can tell me how to open the thing, what kind of replacement LEDs I need, and how I can install them, that'd be great :)

it's waterbased and to remove most of it i had to scoop it out with my hand bit by bit ( i was on the road). it went all over the spare wheel compartment ( up to my elbow) and all over the interior. any ideas of how do clean it off without spending that much money?

My mom was talking about some spray that tints your car windows. I bet it is cheaper than getting all new windows but I wonder if it looks as good? And if so does anyone know where I can find it or what it even looks like?

SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!

1998 Camry has check engine light on. Code shows exhaust gas recirculation inefficiency detected. I have checked the vacuum lines / connections and cannot find a loose connection or leak. I flat cannot afford to have a diagnosis / repair done professionally right now, and need this car to drive to work. It has failed the Texas vehicle inspection because of this, and I gotta get it fixed. It runs great. I can start replacing parts, but it is kind of a crap shoot, and the EGR valve is $160.00 by itself. Any serious comments would be welcome.

There was no external damages, but when I went over it, I believe something underneath the car hit it the block. after driving it around, I noticed that some fluid was leaking, but only in drops. I don't know if it was like this before i hit the block. I have no background in mechanics so I don't know what's up. Also I drive a 350Z so the car is very low. None of the warning lights turn on in the car so Im assuming i got lucky?

I had my car diagnosed today and it has a bad coilpack which damaged the spark plugs. My concern is that with the misfire, the catalyst may have been damaged as the plastic splash shield under the radiator was melted from the heat of the cat. What are the chances that changing the coilpack will cure the problem. I used to manage a GM parts department but am not familiar with Hyundai's and I am guessing that just taking off the coilpack and putting on a new one will be a basic repair. Please let me know if I am correct
