Its because of the extreme heat generated when the engine is just left running without the car having any motion. Great symptoms of low coolant levels & indication of bumper to bumper traffic.

If this only happens in traffic, and not when the car is moving, you have a problem with the electric radiatior cooling fan. The fan relay, temperature sensor, or fan motor is bad. Of the three the fan motor is the most likely culprit.
No matter which on it is, have it repaired quickly. Overheating will cause major problems in that car, usually starting with failing head gaskets!!

the two run the vehicle untill it warms up and seek for leaks or take it to a save and function the radiator stress examined .this might pressurerize the gadget and if there leaks it is going to seep out of them.additionally like the different solutions that is from a chain of places maximum uncomplicated are water pump radiator hoses.so a methods as working warm could be brought about by ability of a caught open thermostat, water pump no longer working and occasional coolant point that's brought about by ability of the leak.solid success.

My opinion is change your thermostat. the one in your could be faulty, but my guess its is a higher heat range thermostat, around 120 degrees F. If you replace it with one at a lower temp range, around 95 degrees F, should fix your problem. You don't seem to be having any other issues, so I am assuming your fluid isn't low and the cooling fan is working, otherwise you would have an issue driving any distance as well.

most of the overheating problems are caused by small leaks, or low on coolant. if your coolant level is good and you have no leaks, check your thermostat and fan. a radiator flush realy helps out. you'd be surprised how much build-up flushes out.
