i know you have to be 15 and a half but i want to know how to prepare for the test and what materials you need to have. i was wondering if theres a part of the test where you actually have to drive a car. and also can you get your drivers license six months after you get your permit? and are there any laws restricting where a teenager can drive or who he/she can drive with?

The accident happened on a roundabout I was already on, someone pulled out on me and I T-boned the side of their car.

An 'independent' assessor has looked at my car and wrote a damage report which went to the other drivers insurance company (who I am personally claiming from as my insurance is 3rd party cover only).

Their company have now wrote to me saying they are denying my claim because:

They can't understand why the whole front of the car is damaged (erm..because I T-boned the other car!)
They can't understand why the nearside wing is damaged (erm..because she kept driving for a few seconds, which tried to drag my car to one side. The chassis went out of line and it moved the wing out of position).
They can't understand how the nearside door is damaged (erm..it isn't!).

Is there much else I can do other than write to argue their statement?

A solicitor or small-claims court would not be cost effective as I'm only claiming approx £400.

What can I do?

I parked my car in the parking lot when I went into eat. When I came out a tree branch had fallen on my hood and dented it. It was raining out but it was the only parking space available and aren't they required to do upkeep? Are they responsible?

I was driving my car making a left turn into the driveway. When a car struck the right rear quater panel of my car. It was mostly my fault because i kinda cut her off, but the speed limit was only 30mph and the skid marks from her car shows that she was going over 30. She was going to go through her insurance but realized she doesnt have collision so she wants me to pay the $400 it will cost to pay for her car. I dont have collision either though. But i was thinking if i did go through insurance since we both dont have collision would we just pay for our own cars so i wouldnt have to pay for hers?

I'm 19 years old, and just got pulled over in Hamilton County (not the county I live in) 2 weeks ago for a 79 in a 55, and receivied a $104 speeding ticket. I am already late on paying it, but have been told as long as I pay it before the warrants been out for 30 days, I just have to pay $45 extra for court costs of not appearing. The reason I have yet to pay is that I recently found out I wasn't insured at the time I was pulled over. My grandparents had been paying my insurance and didn't inform me they stopped paying the month prior, because I moved out of their house. I was driving my Mom's car, which she has a policy on, and I'm wondering what I should do. I'm going to send the money in the mail, should I send my old insurance card, will they check to see if it's valid, should I send in a copy of my Mom's policy for the car I got pulled over in, or should I send the check with no proof of insurance and hope they won't push the issue any farther, since they got their money?

Is it true that two door vehicles are more costly, insurance wise, than four door vehicles? I ask because I am considering purchasing a certain vehicle; however, i'd rather have the coupe than the sedan. Someone told me that any vehicle with two doors is considered a sports car, and therefore, more costly to insure, than a sedan would be. Is this true? Or does it just depend on the car?

I was involved in 3 vehicle accident My car was rear ended and shunted into vehicle in front which was stopped in traffic queue. I was stopped or almost stopped at time . Driver at reat said sorry her foot slipped. I was taken to hospital - whiplash etc. Police said first driver said I hit her first. then hit her again when shunted forward. Also cos front of car was badly damaged must be my fault. I disagree but was charged with Sec 3 RTA. My car was a write off. Keep going over accident in my mind but still know I was stopped at time. Whats my position . Do I get points on license Can I claim rear driver for injuries to hip neck etc. Someone please help.

If you are in a drivers ed class in illinois, do you get your permit before of after you pass the class? And if you get it after you pass the class, how long does it take to come in?

How do you reduce the amount they ask from you. I got into a collision with a 1996 acura legend- hit the back left bumper and they're asking for 3300!! i dont even think the car is worth that much. i was splitting lanes (legal in ca) on my motorcycle when this guy came into my way and i barely nicked him with my frame slider. i had NO DAMAGES on my bike (so that hsould tell you how bad it was...) i was in an emergency (hence splitting lanes in the first place) then he follwed me to an exit where i asked him for his information and he seemed to get threatening so i didn't give him my information and i rode off as i felt in danger and was in an emergency. i dont think this should be considered hit and run as i felt i was in danger. i am willing to pay (haven't admitted fault as i believe i wasn't at fault) but im only willing to pay a thousand maximum. what ways can i get the insurance cmopany to lower my payments??

thanks!

I got caught driving my car with my friends inside without my six months up. So I got a ticket for that and the cop said I almost hit him so I got a ticket for being to close to an emergency vehicle. I was not under the influence or anyting but I have to go see a judge. Does anyone know how long my license will be suspended for?

A colleague of mine was involved in a car accident - when exiting the motorway she was hit from behind by another car who in her opinion was travelling too fast.

She has a feeling that the other car driver was uninsured, but can not guarantee that - at the scene he provided her with his name, address, mobile phone number and nothing more. She also provided him with the same details for herself, and both drivers made a note of the other drivers registration plate number. As it turns out, she was not up to date with her payments and so her car insurance was cancelled prior to the date of the accident. She is very worried about this, she has spoken to her (old) insurance company but unfortunately could not get much help/advice from them and was wondering if you know of the possible consequences of the situation, and a way forward too?

I'm 17 & live in the UK and have £1500 for a car but not £2000 for the insurance.

Can I get an insurance where if i have an accident I pay all charges or they take away my parents house. Because I'm just not going to have one so I don't care.

Or an insurance where I give them a fixed amount of money ie £1000 and at the end of the year they give me back 90% if i don't crash?
