It is too hard to tell because insurance is based on your location as well as the year of the car.

The best thing to do would be for you to get an online insurance quote at http://www.auto-insurance-knowledge.com/24-hour-insurance-quote-auto.html

This will compare all companies in your area and find you the companies that offer the lowest prices.

Be warned. It will be very very expensive.

You could buy and drive one but it will cost you a lot for insurance in addition to the payments. I suggest you buy the 2012 Camaro with the 300hp V-6. It can look as good, get better mileage and go faster than you can legally drive. It will cost about $10,000 less and your insurance will be about 1/2 of the ZL1.

I would recommend seeing if your parents could add you to their insurance so you would get multi car discount, previously insured discount, and if applicable your good grades can get you a discount, also I recommend taking a driver's saftey course for that discount as well (not driver's education but the one they make drunk drivers take). Other than that it depends on the location you live and the vehicle comes from, year, condition of the vehicle, and what type of coverage you want (full or just liability) and what deductible you want to pay if something does happen.

Calll your insurance agent and find out. The Corvette will be more than the Camaro. Check it out.

If someone is dumb enough to let their 16 year old kid DRIVE a corvette, they're dumb enough to pay for the insurance, whatever the cost.

if its for a male only the sky is the limit. At lest twice as much as an adult would pay.
