Insurance & Registration - February 2007

My wife was just in an auto accident (thank goodness she wasn't hurt) and while the investigation isn't done yet, my own belief and those of everyone I have talked to, including my insurance guy, is that she was *not* in the wrong. We live in a "no-fault" state- does that mean the other driver's insurance company can just say "we're not going to pay, regardless of who did what." ?
Our vehicle was totaled, and all we had was liability insurance- is there still a way to push for our insurance company to help us out with this? What about taking the other party to court?

I am 20 yrs old, I need commercial auto insurance for two trucks. Isuzu NPR-HD's one new, one used. (2007 New, 2001 w/177K) both at 14,500 gvw. the trucks are small and the business idea is simple. Haul away peoples unwanted stuff to the dump, but the insurance won't cover me. Anywhere. I've been told to try to find a start up insurance company to take a gamble on me, how do I find one? What else can I do? Please advise.

I recently got a quote MUCH lower than previous ones, but the insurance agent, I think, doesn't understand exactly what I will be doing. He knows I have a construction business, but thats it, I didn't clue him in on hauling stuff to the dump. Is this legal? Should I get the insurance through this guy? He is ten times less than everyone else!!
Thanks!!!

Ok, so my problem is this. I received a ticket for my Inspection Sticker being expired. My car is registered and my Permanent address is in Williamson County. I got the ticket in Tom Green County. I was told that I could not be issued a ticket regarding inspection stickers in a county that I did not live/was registered in. I can't find anything backing this up nor denying it.

Does anyone know for sure whether or not you can be issued a ticket out of residential/registered County?

My question is that i have the money right now, But do i need to get insurance on the car first? before i go to the court house to transfer it into my name? and also, how much will this transfer cost?
Is there anything else I need to buy the day of? such as plates or anything?

I got a speeding ticket from a camera in AZ. Should I just pay the ticket or will it show up on my CA driving record and then raise my insurance rates? I'd rather not have to go to traffic school, but don't want my insurance rates to go up.

HIs insurance expired February 16th and he hit my car February 23rd. I want to know if his insurance company gives a grace period after the due date for payment. I called his company by the name of Traders Insurance and asked the claims examiner this question. He totally danced around my question and told me look up a statute in Kansas regarding a grace period. I asked him to send me something in writing about the grace periods they issue to each of their policy holders and he won't do it. He accused me of accusing them of deliberately not paying the claim and wouldn't let me talk to a supervisor saying they were all out of the office that day. I just want to know what my rights are or if I have any options?

I went to the parking lot and the car didn't stop when I stepped on the brake because of the black ice. My kids were yelling at me and I turned my head to tell them be quiet. I stepped again on the brake pedal, but my foot split off and hit the accelerator pedal causing the accident. I didn't deliberately step on the gas pedal. I have tried very hard to learn English when accident happened, I became shocked and thrilled, I may not express myself correctly. Do you think it is good for me to have a court day and persuade judge that I am not guilty? I hope that the judge might ask me to take driving violation course to take off two points. I don't want the points to raise up my insurance fee.

My parents live in Spain and own a British car, it is due to have it's MOT and they are unsure as to what to do.

Can they get the MOT in Spain or do they need to bring the car back to UK to be done?

Can anyone help me with this or has anyone had experience of doing this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

I'm still a learner driver, but i took a car out with some friends in the middle of the night, got seen on cctv going through a red light (the roads were empty)...
I got jailed on the spot and held in the cell over night then released with no information.

I reckon they will try and do me with wreckless driving...
and ofcourse no tax, no license, no insurance..
and maybe try to pin me with car theft because it wasn't my car and i didn't have permission, but i think my lawyer has found a way round that last charge...

What do you think the penalty will be?

I'm settling the out-of-date-tax out of court by paying a fine to the DVLA, but that's only cancelling out one of the charges... Do you reckon ill get a ban for the rest?

I just failed my test today im trying to get a license before i appear in court as my lawyer adviced me it could help... ive booked a test in 2 weeks im sure ill pass! Anyway, i havent been contacted sinec i got released, any one know what's gonna hapen?
