Can i call Gieco and find out what kind of coverage the owner of the vehicle has, im sure he gave the driver permission as the driver told the police that he was dropping his friend at the bus station. i have the owner of the cars policy number? I have filed claims with both insurances and an apprasier came and took pics of my car...all i am doing now is waiting and waiting. I had to go to the ER th day i got hit, and i had a follow up with my doctor today and i have to go to physical therapy.

Yes, you can call them, but they won't tell you what the coverage limits are.

Yes you can. They may give it to you or may not. If you have filed with them and you have the policy number and police report number, they should be happy to let you know. State to state is a little different in certain instances, but basically that information can be obtained under open records act. In most states, there are liability insurance requirements which cover cases such as yours. From the amount you posted about it, I would say you would get the information you are looking for by calling. Sure can't hurt to call.
