What is it with these people? Don't do a lot of motorway driving but have just got back from a long distance trip and can't get over these morons. Why don't they realise that they should be in the inside lane unless they are overtaking something? I lost count of the amount of times I had to pull out into the outside lane to pass one of these twits, they obviously don't use their mirrors either!

I've always fancied doing this. I always think there's a cosy little bed in the back somewhere. A radio and lots of books to read . A stash of lovely snacks. A little dog for company and the open road to drive on to get away on my own. If you saw me, you'd laugh at the thought of me being a lorry driver. Maybe I watch too much TV. Oh and all the lovely greasy breakfasts.

When you park, you have to "back up" at some point...either when you enter the parking spot, or when you leave it. A few people "back up" when they enter the space (which seems to be more work when cars are on either sides of your space). Watching people do this, it is obviously taking more time and effort to back into the space because of having to avoid the cars on either side. Why not save time and effort.. and park like most everyone else?

It will be 101 degrees. What is the best time to travel so we don't die of heat stroke or something? Coolest time of day? Ealry, though we're not staying all day.

I was stuck in a horrible traffic jam on I 81 a couple of months ago and my bladder was bursting so I went in the only available container. I have never been a person who just went everywhere like a dog and I am still a little ashamed ( so much so I haven't told anyone) Has anyone else done something like this ? Where is the strangest place you have peed? What would a woman do? I was so frantic that I can't imagine if I had not been able to " whip it out"

I don't know about other places, but in my place (Cebu City, Philippines), mild to heavy rain would always mean traffic in several roads in the city. Although I admit there are some 1-inch floods in some of these roads, I think it's possible for them to slow down than for people to wait for around 5-10 mins. just to have the vehicles move even for a little bit. So, can anybody give me an answer to this question?

This seems to happen whether you live in the city or in a rural area! Where do all those extra cars come from?

Why don't we use the existing interstate system corridors to install a highspeed rail system that is capable of receiving and discharging auto's and trucks on the move. The savings in gas, wear and tear, and the reduction in pollution would be tremendous.
