Why hasnt NYC transit figured it out yet?

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TODAY WITH ALL THE TRAINS GOING OUT.....I HAVE HEARD A THOUSAND EXCUSES. DOES ANYONE A GOOD REASON

The NYC transit system is in itself a city underground. Like any city it has its sections which are outdated, under maintainanced and just poorly built. The fact that mainteners are making $25-30 an hour or more under union contract says even more about the system. The system can not be overhauled due to the fact it could not be shut down long enough for effective repairs to be made. The entire system was put in for less money than it takes to run one line these days. The unions make it worse for it is difficult or impossible to get rid of a union member for anything less than murder these days (and sometimes not even then). I know personally a large number of transit workers who have sit in the same bar I have drinking their lunch then go back work then get hurt and get large settlement packages for causing their own injuries. There are so many problems with the NYC transit system that anyone who doesnt ride it would never believe it. People who do ride it normally take it in stride cause it is just another day on the train.

It took me 3 hours to get from Brooklyn to Manhattan, I believe its many things, Trees feel on tracks, Signal failure, Trains rerouted, People sick from the heat. The only reason I can think of is the MTA is the largest most lousy public transportation system. I am sick of it. I cant believe all the trains are screwed up. With all the service changes for their 'REPAIRS" You would think things would be better. I can't believe they want to raise the fair, They had a billion dollar surplus last year and still strap hangers are left with the affects of their old equipment.

old system anad antiquated managent. not designed to work with chaos or disruptions. can only do the minimum sorry.
