I drive in speed limit 45 area, and although i go around 45 always.. Everybody else always goes like at 70. i can tell because everyone passes me. That's ridiculous.

Anyways but sometimes if i push it a bit further than the speed limit. it's like around 4 or less milesph more. I never speed past 5mph more. Is this ok todo?

like if it says 25 i go like at 28.
By the way this is in CA that i'm talking about

most of our street is divided up into flats. our house is 7 flats with 8 people and most of the others are aswell.
We can only buy 1 parking permit per house (not per flat) so there are 8 of us to 1 permit. we can get guest permits but these only allow parking for 25 days per year so are no use.
We both have cars and need them to get to work (it takes over 2 hours each way on the bus, so i cant got to work on time)
if we can't park on our street or the surrounding streets we will have to either move or park a couple of miles away,

what can we do? it starts in september.

The recent national average gas price is approximately $3.14 a gallon as of last week. E85 is manufactured here in Iowa and is supposed to cost less.
I don't believe manufacturing has anything to do with it. It has always been cheaper than the national average. Any ideas?

I enjoy when people suddenly slow down and turn without signaling.

I enjoy when people merge into my lane without signaling.

I enjoy when people merge into my lane and go slower than the "exit lane." (as I call, or slow lane)

I enjoy when people in the faster lanes are going slow while talking on their cell phone.

I enjoy driving behind slow people for a number of miles and when I finally have the opportunity to pass them and do so, they then switch lanes.

I enjoy missing the Memo for National Drive Like You Don't Have Any Legs Day.

I enjoy when people don't have their lights on in heavy rain and you can't see 10ft. infront of you.

I enjoy when people flash me at a 4-way to "go ahead." And then pull out when I'm making the turn.

Add more things you "enjoy" while driving to or from work to this list.

from the two outside lanes on motorways at peak times.
They just seem to take forever to over take each other and hold up the traffic.

I know it sounds corny to ask if I can see into the future, but I had this kind of daydream that I was driving and some guy was going to hit me on the interstate. The next day I was on the interstate and I was hit exactly like what I saw. What does this mean?

Isn't it strange how so many oil refineries are suddenly having problems? These problems are seem to be synchronized and suddenly maintenance costs at these refineries have become a reason to drive up oil prices? Yet big oil is making record profits,

Mind you, the governments are the ones that make the most on a gallon or liter of gasoline - with their various taxes and excise taxes.

But the more we spend at the pumps, the less we spend at the stores, malls and restaurants. So everybody loses ... except big oil.

If gas prices keep rising (as they seem bound to do at this point), will you keep driving, no matter what?
Or will there come a point at which you simply stop driving?
What will that point be? $5? $10?

I live in the US and here when they work on a road it takes half a decade to finish then the road starts to fall apart within a few years. In the UK or Europe in general, how long does a road project last and does the road immediately start to fall apart after it is finished?

I just bought a Honda Odyssey becase I need to carpool. It has a 20/28 gas mileage sticker. A big factor in my decision to buy it was how good that was. I have had it a week, with only skinny small children in it (and after dropping them off, only me!) My driving is semi-rural suburban, where I drive on back roads going about 45 mph with occasional stopsigns or lights. Definitely NOT city driving! Well, I got around 17 mpg, which isn't much better than a Hummer! Who is lying?????? Has anyone else had this experience?????
