To park for a least a week and use a bike to work? The environment around will improve, not to mention your health.

I have an hour commute where I sit on the train. I can't read because I get headaches. I usually listen to my iPod and sleep. Any suggestions? What do you do?

Does anyone know whether the speed camera that is on the A690 going towards Sunderland city centre outside City of Sunderland College Bede Centre is working and has film in it? My wife has just texted me to say that she has been flashed by it (30MPH road, she thinks she was doing 35ish) and I've heard that quite a few cameras are just a visual deterrant.

If so, has anyone been done for speeding before? Is she likely to get a £60 fine and 3 points? I don't know as this is the first incident either of us have had during the 15 years we've been driving.

Many thanks in advance.

I live in Longview, Texas. I have seen a trend of closings of Cheron gas stations for the past month(year?) or so. Chevron gas gives the best (and I mean it) mileage per gallon than any other gas. So please let me know why they are closing

I know that caltrans have been doing a great job with the bridges especially in Sacramento, CA. Everyone seems to complain about how dangerous the bridges might be in the following years. The engineering from other states are not as good with their jobs and that is why the bridges are so deficient. Every 2 years, there are maintence on the california bridges. There is nothing to fear. I want to hear from you of what you are thinking and see what we can do to make you feel safer.

At what times are you allowed to drive on the bus lanes?

2007-08-10 06:36:33 · 17 answers · asked by amar.soox 1

be totally free of the car and take the bus, train etc to work/school .there should be a law to enforce this, would you break this law??

2007-08-09 21:18:11 · 26 answers · asked by damnfineguy 1

This is actually illegal.

Some even use them *instead* of dipped headlamps after lighting-up time, so they’re not only breaking the law, they are dazzling other drivers and driving with inadequate directional lighting in front of them!

Why?

Are they mentally ill?

I need to be at JFK very early tomorrow. Last time I had to be there early, I got to the Goethals Bridge and had to sit around for 30 minutes until they finished up the construction.
This was the only info I could find on the construction. If I'm reading this correctly, there should NOT be construction tonight, so the bridge should be open as normal tomorrow morning (ie. before 5:00 am).
http://www.panynj.gov/CommutingTravel/CustomerRelations/taframe.html#gwb

Can anyone confirm that the bridge will not be closed due to construction tomorrow morning?

Thanks!

Hi.

MIL and I have a dilemma. She says you can't cross yellow double lines to turn into a driveway, she says you have to find the nearest street, turn into that, come back out and then turn to where you were wanting to go, thus not crossing the lines. I say that you are allowed to, to go/come from a driveway. Who's right? We're in NY>

Where I live and work there are three gates to a 200 acre priavte estate. One is pedestrain only, one has not been used since 1950s, and the other is for cars.
Anyone following SatNav directions gets sent to one of the first two, which is no use at all.
How do I change it so that vehicles are directed in the vehicle entrance? Is it a Royal Mail problem, or Sat Nav? Does all the data for SatNav come from one source?
Its inconvenient now, but there could be an emergency situation one day...Thanks
