I have an hour commute where I sit on the train. I can't read because I get headaches. I usually listen to my iPod and sleep. Any suggestions? What do you do?

You could go out of your way to have conversations on the people on the train with you and eventually write a book about all the different kinds of people you meet. Maybe get a camera and take pictures too. You could make a photography book of just an average person's daily commute. Don't need extraordinary pictures or anything, just normal life as you live it. Ehhh just an idea, I probably wouldn't do it - I'd be too busy sleeping.

I usually drive, and sometimes its a long drive particularly during heavy traffic going to school or work. So I listen to some relaxing, calming music that way I stay focussed on the road and not get angry and attempt a dangerous maneuver like most drivers tend to do.

Lucky duck, I have to commute in a car; so I don't have the luxuries you do. I wish I could take a train and catch up on my writing on my laptop.

time is of the essense for me. I don't kill my learning opportunity by listening to ipod or just looking around.

I always bring with me books one at a time - if i am at the public transportation - like, I own a house - i tried to read up anything about housing that's productive. Just one example - your's can be different of course.

I listen the radio or some CDs. Books on CD are a blessing. Those might be good for you, seeing as you are riding and not driving.

Find someone your age and strike-up a conversation, it helps pass the time and you may get a date, if your not married that is.
