I notice this when the traffic in Chatt., TN gets really hectic on the interstates during rush hour. People in the Mustangs, Corvettes, Vipers, etc. really take their time. And the larger the car the faster they go. Ex: soccer moms speeding in their gas guzzling Ford Excursions while texting and playing with cell phone. Also add 3 MPH per honor roll bumber sticker. I was just wondering if anyone else had made some observations like this.

My sorority sister told me that there is a good job available at her workplace. The glitch is that I don’t have a car and there is no public transportation to get there. So, I need to find out how far it is and see if it is possible to walk there. Rarely, I’ll be able to get a ride with my friend, but it will be hard as we might have different schedule.

She isn’t sure how fast she drives, so I just ask about her driving style. She has a 1992 Toyota Celica with a 2.2-liter, 135 hp, I4 engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. She mentioned that she usually keeps it in 4th gear and if she needs to pass another car, she would change to 3rd gear. The route is mostly a straightaway, on a side road and she would drive at a constant speed for 30 minutes.

1. Roughly, how far is it?

2. Is walking realistic?

3. Roughly, how fast does she drives?

I was afraid for my life whenever my friend would drive. He is a nice person, but he would always scream whenever traffic was slowing down. After that, he would drive quickly on the wrong side of the road just to get to the turning lane faster. I was in the car with him once and he purposely hit another aggressive driver. The other drive was in the wrong, but my friend could of slowed down. The other driver and my friend started verbally fighting with eachother. I never knew my friend carried a baseball bat in his trunk. Personally, I think my friend should see a pyschologist. Does anyone else know any drivers like this? Does anyone else drive like this?

What is the common speed limit for the major thoroughfares (4 lane street going from one end of town to the other) if it's not a highway? The population of the town would be somewhere around 75,000-150,000.

My guess would be 35 in the main part of the city and 40-45 in the more outskirts area of town.

The touch panels that you use to put in your pin number and what amount of money you wish to take out of your account. For a drive-through ATM, it seems odd that some drivers would need to use Braille.

I plan on using the MTA but i was wondering about things like, how early should i arrive before the departure time? or how do i make sure im riding the correct bus? how do you do transfers when you have to? etc. I like to know how to do all those things and any more things if people have them.
