"Well dude...from my experience as a delivery driver of 7 years...most of these folks who has the Nice fast expensive cars are just either: they are savoring the experience of the car mile after mile...OR...they're just showing-off to everyone that they have the money & the bling-bling that they could afford to have the car. IMHO, if it were me, it's really nice to know that i have the raw horsepower whenever i need it when an emergency comes my way like quick swerve to avoid accidents or just accelerate really quick to avoid accidents. As for soccer moms who drive SUV's & has bumper stickers like"My Child Is An Honor Student @..." Dude...i cannot emphasize this enough...AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COST!!!..THEY ARE THE MAIN CAUSE OF THE MAJORITY OF ACCIDENTS ON THE ROAD! i ride a motorcycle & i'm always on the look-out for these idiot bitches who have no clue on driving ettiquette or how to drive properly. I think it's time for us to call our Congress people about this & recommend passing a law requiring instant Retribution on Idiot drivers (Like you can shoot to kill ANYONE who cuts you off w/o signalling OR anyone who you gives you the finger because they won't wait their turn OR drivers who drive WWWAAAYYY Too SSSSSSLLLLOOOOOWWWWW). I'm in for this legislation...don't you too?"

You don't buy a fast car to ALWAYS drive fast. A powerful car gives you the satisfaction of being able to do it when you want it. And I guess, a lot of people in Vettes, Vipers and the likes want to be seen in them which is difficult if you go fast... And, last but not least, there still is the speed limit and the guy in the Vette has probably more time then soccer mum in the Dodge Caravan who has to pick up three kids from three different places at the same time.

FWD's tend to understeer.Understeer happens when the front wheels start to plow straight even if you have the steering wheel turned. Front-wheel-drive cars are susceptible to understeer because power is being sent to the same wheels that steer the car, and when the tires start spinning there’s no grip to steer. If your front tire tread has ever been packed with snow or mud, you know the feeling of understeer because, as you turn the wheel, the car keeps going straight... RWD's tend to oversteer. Oversteer is the tendency for the rear end to slide out or fishtail. In responsible everyday driving, there’s no reason oversteer should be a concern. In rain, snow or mud, however, the rear end of rear-wheel-drive cars can creep out on you. Traction and stability control can minimize that fishtailing. The exhibition sport of drifting is an activity that revolves around oversteer; drivers pitch their specially-built cars sideways and smoke the tires at high speeds. but if your not racing you shouldnt have to worry about this

This is not always the case, but a lot of people who drive corvettes, mustangs and vipers are "Car Enthusiasts". They love their cars very much and will not see them destroyed out of stupidity. Not to mention a lot of them actually use their vehicles for competition (I did) in sanctioned events, and know the folly of illegal street racing and of just plain being stupid. The rash of street racers lately has ended many innocent lives, and people are wising up.
Not to mention, another good percentage of people with those cars have accidentally received speeding fines As well, and they are more careful of how fast they are going. These types of cars stand out like a sore thumb when cops are patrolling.

Because the cop on the side of the road will notice the Mustang going over the speed limit and not even pay attention to the mini van that just passed the Mustang.

It doesn't matter what kind of vehicle you drive or ride, the speed limit still applies to you. The fast (left) lane is for the people wanting to go the speed limit, and the slow (right) lanes are for the people going under the speed limit. Follow these laws and you will rarely be annoyed by "slow" people. My observation is that hardly anyone follows the laws of the road, and the people that do follow them are looked down on as "Grandma drivers".
My guess is that people who drive the high-end sporty cars are sick of hearing me laughing as I drive by them (at the speed limit or below) while they are parked in front of a cop car getting a ticket.

Because People like Me 2006 Pontiac GTO owners Vette and Mustang and other cool cars are waiting to race each other get some of us side by side and see what happens. The rest of the time we have nothing to prove. And high powered cars require both hands on the wheel to control that power we try not to talk on cell phones while drag racing to the next light...

I'd have to say that the soccer moms are always in a hurry, and the people who drive the expensive sports cars don't want to get a scratch on them! I always try to be a careful driver but I do take a little extra precaution when I drive my car. In reality though, the soccer moms are the ones with the precious cargo!

Slow down and enjoy the ride......

Because as you recognized them as driving fast cars so has the police. Crappy to have a fast car and no license. Exhibition of speed is usually the first ticket... ;)
