I hate when I have to make an exit and a bunch of traffic is entering the highway just before the exit. It seems illogical. Why not make it so that cars exit BEFORE new cars enter the highway.

I will be driving up to Fort Dix, NJ from the Baltimore, MD area on July 3. The drive should ideally take about 3 hours, but I've heard that traffic will be horrible on the turnpike on that day, since it's the day before July 4. Is this true? If so, how much extra time should I allow for the drive?

Also, I plan to leave Fort Dix, NJ to return to Baltimore, MD on July 5 sometime in the mid-late morning. Will traffic be horrible on the turnpike at that time on that day as well?

Thanks!

This about it.....how much schooling or even thinking can it take to look at a TV screen, see a traffic jam, and guesstimate the time you will be sitting in traffic. i don't get why they get paid so much for what they do. i can't be that hard. but i could be wrong.

I'm getting really fed up with hearing, and witnessing road traffic collisions on Britains roads.I just want to say my bit. Why do car drivers sit behind their steering wheels and switch off? why do motorcyclists undercut lanes of traffic, yet moan when they are hit? why do some truckers have to push themselves to the brink of falling asleep just totry and get a decent wage? apart from the motorcyclist part i have done all of the above. rushing gets u no where. i just wish we could all get along on the roads and cut the deaths. everytime i pass an accident i wonder if that family is getting good or bad news. i know u think i'm just mumbling on but i really care about wot is happening on britains roads. please just drive more carefully. the link below is a bit rubbish, hopefully you will all walk away with a bit more cosideration for your lives and others on the roads. ( yes the grey haired women on the vid is real and dead)

These idiot's, young and old, male and female, black and white, driving on our streets like it was the Indy 500.
Don't you wish you had an electronic device you could point at their car and fry their electrical system? That include's these mental midgets and their stereo's.
People "Stupid is as Stupid does"!

Really think about this, is it really the other drivers or the system itself?

I live in chesapeake and I am starting at ODU. I get onto 168 at battlefield blvd and it turns into 464. I was wondering is traffic usually pretty bad in the morning getting into downtown norfolk, using the st pauls exit off of 464 to get to hampton blvd? Or if you know another way to get there that has less traffic, please explain. (Remember brambleton is down to 1 lane). Any Suggestions on what to do? (I would be comming from greenbrier if you have another way)

there was a gatso on the opposite side of the road to me and lines on all four lanes, but it flashed when i was going towards it, along with another car so there were 2 flashes.

i thought that gatsos worked when you go away from them and not towards them? any answers to my question much appreciated. thanks!

When I am driving along country roads what happens to the animals struck by cars? Are they really tossed into the woods?? Do they put some type of acid stuff on them?? Sometimes they seem like they are dissolving?? When I type in a search engine I don't get any good results.

"ZAP says that the initial concept phase for the new vehicle is complete. The targeted price is $30,000, top speed in excess of 100 mph and range of 100 miles per charge. Many of the technologies already specified for the ZAP-X electric car concept will be applied to the new vehicle, but delivery is expected to be sooner than the ZAP-X."

What do you think - is 100 mile range and 100 mph top speed in an electric car worth $30,000?

One other thing to note - the ZAP-X is supposed to have battery technology that will recharge in 10 minutes, so I presume this earlier model will be able to do the same.
