This about it.....how much schooling or even thinking can it take to look at a TV screen, see a traffic jam, and guesstimate the time you will be sitting in traffic. i don't get why they get paid so much for what they do. i can't be that hard. but i could be wrong.

They may have more duties than you see. The traffic may just be a small part of their job. They may have to actually push some buttons or something. good luck.

OK I don't know why you feel that way. First you have to pay people to show up to work. Second if you don't pay employee enough they don't take their job seriously.

There are lots of jobs that are "easy" but people get paid tons of money. There are many reasons, some times it is just because nobody else want to do it. The best example is the sanitation men (garbage men). It doesn't take any brain to pick up garbage. But it pays well. I knew one door men (who sat around all day did nothing much and had plenty of time to practice for his music gig) but quit for a garbage men job.
