well i know where 3 left over from the london marathon are
they are in my local park,but have big holes in the side of them where a tiger or staffordshire bull terrier has gotten hold of it and chewed and bit it to peices.
if you had asked this Q when john major> {look major stare}
was in power you would have been in luck.he above all other impending issues facing the uk,made it top priority to launch a traffic cone hotline,because that was what the country needed the most at the time......uh?

In council or contractors yards,
Inside each other a stack of thirty is not very high and if the contractor needs 300 that is only 10 stacks of 30. The base is roughly 1ft square so the storage floor space would 5ft x 2 ft x 30 high.
If the contractor needs 3000 you can do the maths it is 10 times the above.

They have been keeping thousands of them on the M40 around Banbury for ages, and the A34 for that matter, M42 and the M6. I would be happy if they would actually do some work when the cones were out, I pass thousands every week and no sign whatsoever of anybody working there.

There are Highways Agency's depots all over the U.K. - there is one a couple of miles from my home.
These depots are where the roads maintenance vehicles are parked when not in use, and where traffic cones, road signs and road salt are stored until needed.
