Really think about this, is it really the other drivers or the system itself?

Thanks to all who answered. Some varied answers there. I agree with most.
What annoys me (apart from mobile phone use) is too many people doing over the speed limit, ( i know i sound like an oldy), but they are in the way when i want to change lanes, speeding up to get to the next red light. Also when i'm pulling out of sidestreets and when i'm just driving along on the speed limit they try and tailgate ( i aint copping no fines for no-one). If we all obeyed the law, there'd be none of the frustration out there, well a lot less, because everyone would be fairly predictable. Thanks people, take it easy out there.

My girlfriend getting upset.
Seriously, I've gone through a couple of phases when driving. When I first started driving, I used to drive the speed limit and nothing faster. I always used to be kinda slow. Then somewhere between 17 and 19 I started picking up speed.
Eventually, I ended up driving freeways most of the way to everywhere, so I ended up driving around 85-90MPH and would weave around a bit... not much, just occasionally.
Anyways, after almost getting ticketed, and realizing that weaving around doesn't work (it's basic physics, in the long run your AVERAGE speed determines how soon you'll get somewhere... and notice how I said SPEED and not acceleration. It doesn't matter how fast you accelerate, in the long run, you're gonna be going just as fast as the rest of traffic... and if you try REALLY hard, you might just average a whole 5MPH faster)
Anyways, nowadays, I drive the speed limit. On the freeways I follow the traffic speed and don't worry about it. My girlfriend still gets frustrated over traffic... but honking and waving your arms fixes nothing. That's what really annoys me, is that she can't chill out over something stupid like traffic. Indeed, I think all people who are pissed off on the road really shouldn't be driving.
So, when I'm in for a commute, I very simply crank up my stereo, my ac, go buy some smokes or a large drink, and then I just chill the rest of the way there.
Ever since I started doing that, I've stopped hating the commute, and I've pretty much started enjoying it. Rush hour in my car is when I listen to all my new music.... and leaving 10 minutes earlier to do it is totally worth it when you can get to work, and not be all haggard and pis$ed off.

Sometimes it is the system. I mean I've seen the local yokels setting the traffic lights, and sometimes there are stop signs where there is no need, then there are places where a stop sign is needed and not there.
People on cell phones is a definite issue.
Where I live a lot of deer.
Lots of things, but mostly I get annoyed by other drivers. Just because you drive a big car does not mean you always have the right of way!

Just sitting there when the light turns green, yapping on the cell phone and weaving all over the place, driving 15-20 miles below the speed limit on a busy road during rush hour (if you have nowhere to be at that time, get off of the road), and so on and so on...

People who drive in bad road conditions and are not able too. If they can't or are unsure if they can drive in these road conditions then they should find someone else to drive them or just wait for the weather to let up. These people are a major factor to accidents. The speeders are not much better but you can always count on see them, the slow ones are usually in the slow lane but are driving 20 kms or more under what everyone else is driving.

Cell phone yakkers, and the really aggressive drivers. You know, the ones grossly exceeding the speed limit, darting in and out of traffic, tailgating ... creating the biggest hazards on the highway.

Drivers get worse latter in the week too. I race my car at road racing tracks that takes care of speed. I drive with other cars very carefully and just sit back and watch the stupid things they do. It no longer upsets me. I don't wave my arms. People get shot getting mad at the wrong driver.

People who change lanes without signaling. Almost as bad are the people who cut across the gore point at a freeway exit.

People running red lights in front of me when I'm looking at green and people who use their brakes all the way down a hill and once at the bottom, stomp their gas to go faster up....
Did you know that the car can do something other than brake and gas?.....it can roll. Just roll more people!
