strait 6 vs. v6 ?!

Hey, i have a jeep and was thinking to get a rubicon... but than someone told me they are v6 not strait 6 and i over heard a few times that strait 6 is the way to go.

I'm jsut curious in just exatly why it so much better off in the dirt than the v6 is. Any more reliable?

allowing the auto shut down relay to complete the circuit, so now there is now power for the fuel pump or coil the engine just turns and the check engine light does not come on.

I'm getting a tranny flush at the dealership on Monday. They said that they don't put in a new screen/ filter with the flush, because it's not nessesary with the flush which changes 100% of the fluid, compared to a regular tranny fluid change that only changes about a third of the fluid with new fluid. Is this true? Thanks.

Every time I take off the rear end on my Jeep shakes incredibly. Well it only does it when I press the gas down regularly, and when I press the pedal to the floor it dosn't shake. It feels like the tires are spinning in the back, but i got a buddy of mine to look at them when i take off and they have perfect traction. I've been told it's the transmission but I just don't believe it because its VERY loud and violent and it sounds like its coming from the back, and I just don't believe my transmission would make the WHOLE VEHICLE shake like that. I have a 2inch spacer lift and 265 BFG all-allterrains. Is my lift or heavy tires causing this? Or maybe my rear axle worn or maybe the lockers? IDK much about vehicles.PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!

I have found a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee for about $4,000. It doesnt need any work, has sunroof, premium audio package, leather, the only problem is that it has 140,000 miles on it. If there are any jeep owners out there who could give some input, that would be great! Thank you!!!

I got a deal on some side steps but they did not come with hardware or with instructions for installing them.

I looked at the frame and there are mounting holes but they are one sided; so I want to make sure that I get the right type, and right sizes for the nuts, the bolts and the washers.

The steps have a number on them (55156201AB) but I only came up with a parts store that was selling the complete step kit.

Anybody have any thoughts, ideas or info on where I might locate a part list and install instructions?

I am trying to restore a 1984 AMC Eagle Wagon.
It seems there are lots of restoration parts for Jeep CJ but not for Eagle.
I know its engine is same as Jeep.
Let me know what kind of chassis parts are interchangeable with CJ.

I have a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 3" lift and 31" tires, and Quadra-Trac all time 4 wheel drive. While driving on pavement, once I hit about 45 mph, the whole vehicle starts vibrating pretty violently, then around 48 it goes back to normal. What's causing this, the tires, all time 4 wheel drive, or the driveshaft?

I have been debating on purchasing a new 2007 wrangler. I am fairly sure that I want one although, but I was hoping for some feedback first.

I owned a 93’ wrangler, wrecked it, but loved it. I am debating on getting the new 3 piece hard top, but I have no garage. I would be forced to store it in a basement if I ever took it off. I have not attempted to take one off, is it heavy, will it fit through a standard door? Let me know what you think.

Are the new soft tops any quieter than the ones back in 93’?

I heard somewhere that replacing my stock radiator cap (16lbs) with a lower one (7-8lbs?) would relieve pressure from my hoses and be less stress on my cooling system.

I'm not EXACTLY sure what a radiator cap does as far as pressure ratings go, so I wouldn't have a clue.

The seat belt chime in my 2006 Jeep Commander is so annoying. I don't need a reminder to put my seat belt on. I appreciate that some folks do need it. Is there a programming option to disable it? It might not be so bad if the it would chime less frequently or at a lower volume.
