the car has a lot of miles but it was from a mechanic who took really good care of it, and it was better on emissions test than even new cars. A few days back I was driving uphill and all of a sudden the speed kept going down even though I was hitting the acclerator, I was over the bump really fast though, and it didn't happen again for the rest of the day. Thats my first problem, secondly the steering wheel feels a little loost in my hands, especially when turning, the wheels turn just fine, its just that the steering feels loose. Does anybody know why this is ?... I'm really worried, I'm a student and I can't afford to spend loads of money on this car, and I really love it, and I'm very worried. Pleaseeee any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have a 1995 Jeep Wrangler and the rear left lower shock mount continues to crack and break. I've had it welded several times, but I don't think the weld is holding. Is there an after market clamp or something I install?

I just got a 1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport and since I got it, my brakes have been slowly getting worse. I know that its not my brakes, but the brake fluid. I am just wondering were the master cylinder is located and if there is anything that could effect the lines or any other thing that could effect my brakes.

My wrangler 04' has overdrive with the option to disable it when needed. lately, my jeep has been having a tough time increasing rpm/speed going up a hill even when my gas pedal is being pushed. It feels abnormal to be putting so much pressure on the pedal and to have no response in rpm/speed. I recently disabled the overdrive when approaching hills and the jeep rides great, picking up speed as i push the pedal. SO, is it ok to hit the 'O/D off' button whenever needed (approaching a hill), at any speed? I just don't want to misuse overdrive and cause another problem. Thanks much!!

I own a 96 Grand Cherokee with an In-Line 6 cylinder with auto trans. The check engine light comes on as soon as I turn on the head lights. Further, although the engine is not over heating, the engine over-heat warning bulb to the extreme right of the analog temp gauge lights with the check engine light. By disconnecting / reconnecting the battery, the check engine light resets and remain off until I turn on the head lights. If I don't turn on the head lights, check engine light remains off. My guess is that there is a short in the electrical harness or possibly a bad instrument cluster bulb. Also I did the self diagnostics via turning the ignition switch on/off for 2 cycles the back on so to display a code. Two codes come up: 12 and 21 indicating a bad O2 sensor and the other indicating that power was lost to the PCM. But due to the behavior of when the Check Engine light being triggered by turning on head lights, I'm thinking it's a wiring issue. Thanks in advance for your help

I mentioned that my 04' Wrangler with automatic transmission was having a problem upshifting, especially uphill. As I approach a hill, maybe around 60rpm's, I'll start to give it more and morepedal pressure but the RPM's will not budge until pedal is almost at floor and all of a sudden will jump which seems pretty harsh on the jeep. I had another problem with downshifting recently and had the tps and map sensors replaced which helped that issue but this lack of upshift still remains. Could this be another electrical/computer problem? Any suggestions? Thanks!!

B4 it stopped working, it blinked very fast. The the left went out. Then the right went out. The hazards work fine. I bought a new flasher, installed it (behind the glove box), and still had the same problem.

Any thoughts?

We have a jeep grand cherokee laredo. its a 2002. we've always kept it clean and serviced, but it still it gives us many problems. first of all, for some reason the radio doesnt work. we bought a fuse but it doesnt seem to help. next the window on the driver side goes down without anyone touching it, upon acceleration, the air conditioning goes out....what could be wrong? the dealership doesn't want to see the car, because since it came off of the lot, they've had to fix things, and this time they want to charge over $1000.00 what should we do?

A few days ago, the fan for my heater (no a/c on this vehicle) appeared to go out. No matter what combination of settings I used, the fan would not come on. I haven't done anything to the vehicle; I was planning on taking it to the shop. Today, I was out and it was raining, so I reached over without thinking to turn the fan on to clear the windshield - and it was suddenly working again! Previously, everything else had been working - lights, horn, map lights, wipers, etc. And since the fan is working now, on all speeds, clearly it wasn't a fuse or (I presume) the fan couldn't work NOW. I'm not complaining, of course, but I would certainly like to have an idea of what might have caused it to quit, and why it might have started again. Any ideas?????
