Our 1994 Jeep was totally destroyed by fire. The reason was because of a flat tire, we put the original, never used, compact tire on it and aprox. 9 miles down the road, our Jeep caught on fire. The Jeep was in mint condition with only 60,000 miles on it,Has anyone ever filed a claim with their insurance company over this kind of thing? we would like to hear from you. Please email me at rsh_sndy@yahoo.com. We are going to court with Chrysler Corperation. Thanks

hi,

i realize this question was recently asked, but i have different criteria. i have come across a 97' SE (hard top, soft, bikini, tow package, many add-ons) for 5grand. 108k miles.

I own a DJ company, and have a 4x6 enclosed trailer that i need to tow. The trailer weighs about 600 lbs.

I am concerned that the pick-up and towing capabilities will be limited with the 2.5 engine.

Is it worth waiting to find a 6cyl and paying the extra money? I'm going strictly through Craigslist and Cars.com in the Boston area.

Happy holidays :-)

I'm a brand new driver and I'm looking for my first vehicle. I need a vehicle that I can rely on, especially in the snow. The area in Pennsylvania I live in usually gets some good snow coming its way. Along with the colleges I have applied to. I'm big into Fords and like both the Ford F-150s and The Explorer. But I also really like Jeep and have heard a lot of great things about the vehicles they produce. I have chosen that I really like the Jeep Grand Cherokee and between the years (1999-2004). I was wondering how do they do in the snow and in bad winter conditions?

This is maddening, and I have taken to 2 dealerships who have charged me the minimum and cannot identify the problem. Once of twice a day, it will not crank. Lights come on, radio, windows roll up and down, but it will not crank. Usually, after anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes, it cranks. The problem is when I take it in, the shop tells me "we couldn't get it to not crank". I have a feeling they tried a couple of times, and then did nothing else. I had one shop remove the anti-theft system. Have read about the park/neutral safety switch, and consider that a possibilty. Just don't know where to start. Anyone have any ideas or similar experiences?

My question is can u take a srt-8 engine out of a Grand Cherokee and put it into a Jeep Commander? What im trying to do is make a commander srt-8. I love the commander but I want to add a little something to it, like the srt-8 engine and srt rims and so on. I like both suvs but I really like the commander a hole lot more and I wouldnt mind puting the money into it to have all the srt-8 features. And does anyone think that this might look good or be a big waste of money? thanks

I drive 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Today was snowing for the first time in my city and when I was on highway, I was driving so fast around 60. All other cars were behind me, driving slowly. I was like wow suckers lol.. Don't you feel the same way sometimes? I love 4x4, I know it's not safe to drive fast when its snow, but I feel so secure in my Jeep. (o:

I have a 94 grand prix, and it is a hunk of junk. I thought about restoring it, but I think after college I am going to buy something else. I like trucks, jeep cherokee's, and older muscle cars. What time of model and year would be a good investment, low repair but I live in east tennesse so I want it to be able to off road well. Suggestions?
