Smelling a lite burning rubber from the rear wheel of my jeep grand cherokee 2002 -- any suggestions -- looked around nothing seems to be rubbing against anything...

Is this a 2002 or 2008 ? If it's an 2002 check the rear brakes that there no locked up or that there's no axle grease leaking (visual inspection) and burning off on the rotor. If it an 2008 bring it to the dealership. If your still unsure take it to someone soon.

probably wheel bearings, is additionally some thing basic like a brake pad. IMO i may well be very suspect of wheel bearings as you're saying which you're listening to the noise whilst turning meaning it is happening decrease than ingredient load.

Could be wheel bearing which is very important to have changed out if that is your issue and you will need to take it to a mechanic unless you can see where your tire might be rubbing on your wheel well or chasis.

the brake might be stuck. jack up the rear and put it in neutral. spin the rear tires to see if one is tighter than the other.
