We have owned Grand Cherokees since the middle 1990's. I am not impressed in the least with the new iteration of the vehicle. For starters, they eliminated the durable old inline six cylinder engine and replaced it with a less durable and less economical V-6.

Additionally, they eliminated the SelecTrac 4WD option and moved to full time/all time 4WD.

Our current Grand Cherokee is now our last one.

keep an eye on tire wear, and have the backend (differential) checked out at about 40,000 miles. Otherwise, everything else should be fine.

depends on how to take limited, 4 wheel sometimes or just when you want.
