That is excellent. I have an 04 liberty, and I think I have somewhere between 62,000-65,000 miles or close to it

The mileage is probably what is driving the price up. That is low mileage for a 1999. The good thing, it should last a long time, but still would check for complete fluid changes.
Good Luck

Well it was driven less than 10,000 per year, that is always a plus.
That is pretty low mileage based on a 12,000 mile per year an average person puts on a car.
Mileage could be closer to : 96,000
Just be aware of the number of recalls for this vehicle :

Most people put on 10,000 - 12,000 miles a year, so I would consider this very average miles for a 1999.
With so few details I can't be completely accurate on the value. Follow the link below for a better idea of the value
I assume good condition and some options
Private party $8,245
Retail, Dealer $10,860
Trade in value $6,415

It's quite low mileage for that year. Our '99 has 130k, and yes the odometer displays 6 digits, what newer cars don't these days. 10,000 a year is all I put on my car, the Jeep is the wife's, so it is not abnormal. I have a short commute and the miles just don't add up.

Mileage is not the only thing to look at. I can have a vehicle with 120,000 miles on it and it be a better vehicle than one with 25,000 miles on it. It all depends on how it was maintained...ie.. was the oil changed when it was supposed to be, was it dogged out when driven? That is why I would never buy a used sports car. They are usually owned by teenagers that do not maintain them and drive the hell out of them. 4x4's can be the same way.

Can be alittle fishy..especially if you believe it wasn't driven more than 10k per year....check the odometer and see if it displays the 100k part or not..if not ask the seller to guarantee the mileage..if they wont then it's probably 179k.
I had thought I got a great deal until I found out the history of it and found out that it had 155k and not 55k on a 5 yrold car.
Get a dmv history. or that online history thing(old age cant remember)

I have a 1999 Jeep Wrangler- It has 68K so
79K is low for that year but the price is too high.
Dealers make more money on used cars than new ones so beware. $10,000 tops.

most cars and light trucks are figured to be driven 15,000 miles a year so the average 8 year old truck should have 120.000 miles on it. Low mileage is usually a good thing.
