First to answer your question. How to fix? You can try some of the snake oil remedies show above, but I doubt that they will work. If you really have a failed lifter, you need to get it fixed ASAP, it is damaging the cam by slapping it and in a rare case..been there, the push rod could come off the rocker, which will allow the lifter to jump out of the bore, then you lose oil pressure and damage the engine badly.
To fix a bad lifter, you must pull the head to replace it. If you are going to have this done, I would also get the lift of the offending lobe checked. While the head is off, get the valves reground and the head surfaced. Due to the recent reduction of Zinc in motor oil, the number of cam wear instances are growing, Not really too much I have heard of in OEM cams, but a mess in after market ones.
Good Luck

Drain 1 quart of oil out and add 1 qt of auto trans fluid and drive for a week and see if it helps. Sometimes this will fix the problem if it is a collapsing lifter.

buy better gas. change oil and filter and add Marvel Mystery Oil to the oil. Do not overfill. Drive the vehicle to high speen, about 60-70 mph and hold it there for about twenty minutes. That should quiet down the lifters. If not I dont recommend the gunk they sell to quiet them. It clogs the engine up.

Try an oil and filter change. If that doesn't do it see your friendly Jeep dealer for something to free up the stuck lifters.

Check your oil, make sure it is full, if it is you can add motor honey.
