Every time I take off the rear end on my Jeep shakes incredibly. Well it only does it when I press the gas down regularly, and when I press the pedal to the floor it dosn't shake. It feels like the tires are spinning in the back, but i got a buddy of mine to look at them when i take off and they have perfect traction. I've been told it's the transmission but I just don't believe it because its VERY loud and violent and it sounds like its coming from the back, and I just don't believe my transmission would make the WHOLE VEHICLE shake like that. I have a 2inch spacer lift and 265 BFG all-allterrains. Is my lift or heavy tires causing this? Or maybe my rear axle worn or maybe the lockers? IDK much about vehicles.PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!

I have the same lift and tires on my 98 JGC. This is what I would look at. I would have someone pull the rear cover off of your differential and look at the clutches in it. Also look at the u-joints as mentioned. and then go forward into the trans. But i had a clutch disc break in my rear end and it shook as well as howled. After the rebuild on the rear end I have no problems with that lift and tire combo other than a little drive line vibration at about 70 mph and only at that speed. hope this helps

Agree on checking the Ujoints,,,BUT WHAT LOCKERS??? Jeeps do not come from the factory with lockers. You might want to look at whatever you have installed back there.
Good Luck

Check your rear u-joint. It may need replacement. Also check fluid levels in the pumpkin.
