had Auto Zone analyze. Was told "throttle position sensor circuit low input" was the problem. They (Auto Zone) reset the circuit. Engine light is now off. Through it all, Jeep is running fine. What's up with all this??

To replace the hood hinges you not only have to take the hinges off the hood but you have to take the hinges off of the jeep itself which seem to be behind a panel that goes from the end of the hood to the windshield. There are some screws that hold this panel on and the windshield wipers have to be taken off but how do you get this panel to come off?? No one seems to know this answer. If you know this answer you are all-knowing when it comes to jeeps. I don't think anyone knows though.

I just purchased a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it just started making a popping sound from under the front of the vehicle whenever I drive it. It seems that it correlates with the speed of the vehicle, leading me to belive that it might have something to do with the wheels. That is to say that it gets faster I go faster and slows down when I slow down. I have read numerous posts on different websites that suggest it might be the 4wd, but I leave it in all-time 4wd, not in neutral. This just started after I had an oil change done. Any ideas? Is it safe to drive? Thanks.

My heater, air and heated seats all went out in my Limited 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I had the fluids checked but not sure what wrong. I know that Chrysler recalled all 2003 with the same exact problem but not 2002. Anyone have any ideas?

When I checked the fuse box it didn't seem like anything was wrong. They don't come on at all. I'm 16 so it needs to be something cheap and easy to fix for me and I don't know alot about cars. Thanx in advance.

Is it a gaz guzzler? How much does it consume? I bought a 2005 Grand Cherokee Laredo with a 4.7 Liter V8 engine last week but I am willing to sell it in the coming days because it's a silly gas guzzler!

Sorry, my first post and buggered it up.
I am looking at buying a 2nd jeep for towing ( once a mth ) a horse float, which model and year should I be looking at.

My family have said "dont get a jeep " as they are nothing but trouble, but I work in aged care and need to pick up clients for shopping etc and they are small and easy to drive and can tow as well ( so I have heard ).

$$ is very limited so I will prob have to go for an older model.

Sorry for the long post.

I just bought this suv and found both springs were broken. After raising and suporting vehicle to remove springs I found out they where so bad that they did'nt have any tension on them anymore so was able to remove them by making one cut through sping with grinder and they came out in four pieces. The chilton tells me to disconnect the front driveshaft from the axle, stabilizer bar links and shocks at axle, disconect the track bar at the sill braket and the tie rod at the pit mam arm. then lower the axle untill tension is removed. It does not mention any thing about a spring compretion tool. Well my qestoin is do I need to discnnect all this stuff if I use this tool, or will the tool even fit with that thing that looks kind of like a shock that is in the midel of the spring?

Recently I have noticed a grinding noise when putting the car in reverse. If there is any decently hard acceleration (having to get over a large bump in a driveway for example), the noise because noticably louder and disconcerning. Also, when shifting into drive after backing up, it appears as though the transmission is slipping and the car will lurch forward after a few seconds. Two days ago, after backing up, the car became very difficult to drive and would jerk around and be very sluggish. This cleared up, but are any of these things connected? If, or if not, what is causing them?

Additionally, I had a pervious post about starting problems which were apparently resolved by replacing the fuel pump. However, less than a month after the work was done, the problems are back. We recently had an ice storm, but it was not that cold and the car has certainly been in colder and more fierce conditions before and performed admirably. The car has almost 100,000 miles on it now.
