I am thinking about getting a 3" lift on my 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. What is a good tire size for such a lift? I don't want something too big or too wide. Please help. THANKS!

I have a 2006 Jeep Wrangler that is about 6 months old now. The other day I noticed a tiny pinhole in my top at one of the seams, that you can see daylight through. I took it to the dealership and they say that it is a cut and that it wouldn't be covered under warranty.

They suggested that I used some black silicone to "plug" the hole. Does this sound right? And can anyone recommend something that won't further damage the canvas of the top?

The specs for the limited version of the Patriot say its ground clearance is 9.0 inches. It doesn't look like it's that much. Is this true? I want a vehicle with a bit more ground clearance and good 4x4 capabilities. This just may be my new vehicle. :-)

It overheated the other day....took it to the shop and they said it was 1.5 gallons low on antifreeze...they pressurized it after refilling it and ran multiple tests and couldn't find any leaks or anything.....A week later I checked it and had to add a whole other gallon in...no leaks or anything tho that I can see..also the coolant reservoir is always empty but there aren't any leaks in that either I checked it. ......where else could the antifreeze be going???...any suggestions as to what I could try or what it might be.

I have a 91 wrangler with 33's. For the last few weeks, most of the time (especially when i am turning or hit a pot hole) between 35-40, the whole jeep starts shaking. I don't think that the tires are out of balance, because it never shakes at high speed (75-80). I pulled out the steering stabilizer, but it still appears to be in good condition (not sure how I would really know unless it just didn't have any pressure left at all). Any help would be great

If I were to lift my Jeep Wrangler TJ 2 inches would it be pointless to get just slightly bigger tires than the ones I have on my Jeep now which are 30x9.5. I guess I could go to 31x10.5 with my stock rims but would this move be pointless being that its only a inch more in height and width and that my 30x9.5 tires are practically brand new?

I drive a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee I-6, why would my RPMs fluctuate when I am driving under normal highway driving conditions, and it usually happens when my defrost is turned on....the revs would pulse from 2000-2400 or so, with no increase in speed...just engine revs.

I mean, what should I expect in terms of a repair/replace bill? Should I still be driving the Jeep? (I only found out yesterday). How much should it cost? The crack was found by a technician during a regular oil change. He also put this notation: PH16 PG.230 TQ25, what does this mean? Does anyone know? How does the housing get cracked in the first place? HELP ME!! (thanks)

What happened? Any ideas? I took my 6-cyl Jeep Wrangler in this AM for a 30K tune-up, including an oil change. Just called the garage and they told me there's a problem. Said they changed the oil, changed the plugs, turned on the heat and the engine seized. Asked if I've been having trouble. NO! Jeep runs like a top, including on the 7-mile trip to the garage this AM. I have the heat on all this time this time of yr too. The heat hasn't run well for 5 yrs, but I live in Seattle and hasn't been an issue really. I did ask them to take a look tho. What happened here?????

My 4.0L 6 cyl. wrangler has been having some oil pressure issues. I got off the highway the other day and my pressure droped to 0, as soon as I went to pull off the ramp to park and shut it off I noticed the pressure returned. Once I stoped again the pressure droped to 0. Checked the oil which was fine and I haven't been hearing any knocking or ticks. It seems that I only have this issue when my temp gets up to normal opperating temp. What could the issue be? Oil pressure sended? Oil pump? It has been cold in CT lately...could that have something to do with it??
