It deffinately will not feel or handle like a cadillac, but unless you go crazy with tires and lifts, rollover will not be an issue. Gas mileage of the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler is about the same as the more "robust" suvs out there where the Liberty is a little easier. If you mainly want something to drive on road in snowy/icy weather, stick with the Liberty or Grand due to the option of full time 4wd. Wranglers with part time 4wd and short wheel bases can get a little squirrely in similar situations. Their ability to lock in 4wd is absolutely essential off road, and the short wheelbase of the Wrangler, along with awesome aproach, departure, and breakover angles, makes it one of the most maneuverable off road vehicles available. I've owned a Wrangler for 7 years now, and I think they are rough riding, loud, and bad on gas. But with the top and doors off while flying down the highway on a sunny day, or while halfway through a 3 ft deep water crossing after just plowing through 50ft of brown goo, gas mileage is the last thing on my mind.

A Jeep is an amazing suv. I've had it for over 8 years. I bought it straight from the dealership w/ no miles on it. the only problem its given me was one day the axle broke, but it was partially the mechanics fault cause he hadnt put it on right. good luck w/ ur car buying. i would go with buing the jeep. Ive had it since 1999

Jeeps are exellent vehicles. They are great in snow and offroading. Even my 96 jeep grand cherokee limited see's offroad quite often, and I haven't had any major problems other than normal maintenance and repairs from having over 190,000 miles on the drive train.
If you decide to get a jeep, get the inline 6 engine, do not get a V8 they're really bad on gas. My jeep has the inline 6 and I average 26-28MPG on the vehicle and its full time 4WD.

Jeeps are nothing short of awsome. If you have to ask why you have never owned one. It's a Jeep it'll do anything. I currently own 3 and have no plans of selling any of them.

i own a repair shop, and i judge a vehicle by how much i have to work on it,and several of my customers have these, and they hold up really well, the only thing i have seen with some of them is a sludge build up in the engine, that causes the oil pan to have to be removed, and cleaned out real good, also the oil pump has to be cleaned, other than this, they don't give no major problems at all, i had one and put well over 300 thousand on it,and never did any major work at all to it,so your making a good choice,,there a good dependable vehicle, and start really well in cold weather, i don't think you,ll have to many complaints with it,take care of it,keep it maintained, and it should last you a long time, good luck,i hope this help,s.

They are alright. They guzzle gas pretty good if they are the gasoline version, they aren't that safe(both impact and roll over easily) and they aren't luxery oriented at all(kida rough) but other than that they are fine. I would recomend the diesel version if you want one.
