Jeep

A service tech suggested the head gasket was blown. It is a V8 and I look inside the oil fill cap and see a milky liquid mixed with the oil. Could this be water mixed with oil? How can I tell if the gasket is actually blown?

The bottom right area of my cluster is going dim. My speedometer needle, temperature guage, and from about 100mph to 120mph on my speedometer are more dim than the rest of my cluster. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong? I've been told a new bulb, a new alternator, a whole new cluster, any ideas?

I have a 2004 Rubicon and have a lighted sign that fits into the trailer hitch. I've never set up anything to tow and can't find the wires to attach it to. Anybody know where to find the trailer wires or have any suggestions?

i have a jeep cherokee 93. the lights which illuminates the AC and radio (are they dashboard lights?) part doesnt work anymore. where can i buy a cheap light or lights for it and how much would it cost? btw, the lights behind the speedometer still works...

I don't see any leaks, but I am loosing coolant! I checked all the hoses and radiator but no signs of leaks! some one told me that there is a seal somewhere that if it is busted coolant will evaporate! I don't know much about where this seal will be. if someone knows please help!

At first I thought I was stupid, but I have now taken it to two tyre places and read the manual. We just cant get at the spare tyre. It has one of those spare tyre covers with the reg number plate on it. Does anyone know how to get this cover off?? Thanks (its a 2003 cherokee liberty)

Another person asked a question about their 2000 Jeep Cherokee heated seats that quit working. Mine, too (not the first time). It's not a fuse, it's not an electrical problem. They heating elements are bad. I have learned that the company who made the heating components has gone out of business (surprise!) and they are no longer made. I have an extended warranty and want to make a claim for the depreciation in value. Anyone have any information on the cost of these seats? I had one person tell me $3,000 per. Looking for information. Thanks.

Sometimes My Jeep will start up fine but then while Im driving it'll shut off automatically. I have to put it in neutral and starts up fine but won't maintain its revs. I recently purchased Carb cleaner but was iffy to use it. I also put an injector cleaner in my gas tank to help clean any build up. This staying on problem is dangerous. Cause my steerling wheel locks when this happens. Can anyone help? Could it be the gas filter?

This morning driving into work my seat automatically started to move up on its own. My gauges started to move sporatically to zero then back up. My gauge panel started to act wacky with illuminating the air bag and other electrical accessories.. air bag and then my doors would lock then unlock on its own. I felt like my car was possessed. Please HELp. The dealership wants to charge me $110.00/hr. just to diagnosis it! Can anyone direct me in the right direction please.

We have a '78 jeep cherokee that has started to overheat. We changed the thermostat and it almost immediately overheated again. We drained some of the radiator fluid to see if the radiator was somehow clogged but fluid ran freely through it. We started the truck and it ran perfectly with no overheating. One week later the jeep is overheating once again. Does anyone have any clues what might cause sporadic overheating? We can't afford to take it to the shop and between us two girls we don't have a lot of mechanical knowledge.
