so i am going to be buying a jeep cherokee sport. its a 97, it has been fully gone through and has had a major tune up with everything changed and stuff. but it has high miles, so my question is, cuz i heard this , that as long as you take care of it, jeep cherokees late a long time, with very high miles, is this true? i know that toyotas last for ever, well they did back in the day, but is this true for jeeps? any sites or anything would be great. thanks

Hey Everyone
Can anyone tell me how to disable the alarm system on my 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I can reset it but the alarm still goes off. sometimes it 4 hrs to maybe 30 min, I don't have a remote entry,
The problem started after i took out the battery to change the headlight, I have no owners manual,

They were all working fine but all of a sudden have all stopped working at the same time. There is no noise and no movement. The manual is of no help whatsoever. I had initially thought it may be a blown fuse but can find no fuse for this purpose according to the manual. Help! I find it hard to imagine that 4 motors would be cactus at the same time. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I Have Owned 6 Different Jeeps, However This Is My First 5 Speed Jeep.
My Trouble started when my pedal went soft(nothing there) I checked the master cyl ,Fluid But no Motion on the Plunger Assembly,I replaced the master cyl And Bled the system (After allowing all old fluid to escape)With new dot3.Have a nice hard pedal...until you drive ,If you hold in 2nd or 3rd at low speed pedal goes completely Soft,let off Accelerator And Pedal Becomes Hard Again. This Has Me Baffled, All the Hydraulic lines are good. I'm Hoping that Hydraulic Throwout Bearing is Good As No Slipping or grinding ,Shifts real easy when pedal is up.
Any Suggestions For A do it your Selfer? Please Help

I want a used older model Jeep. Im looking at the 1990-1994 range. I think they look really cool and they seem fun! Has anyone had bad experiences/good experiences with this vehicle? Also, do they come in automatic and if its a hard top is there a way to make it a soft top(sorry if that is a dumb question... i have a 1994 jeep grand Cherokee and the normal bulbs suck I'm tired of those hid look alike bulbs that don't even last that long and don't even light up the road.I'm thinking of upgrading to hid's those anybody know if there is any problems that might happen if i do use.

I seen 2 questions answered on this site with the wrong information.First,someone asked if the new 2007 Jeep Wrangler had a frame or was unibody.They answered it was a unibody,well I work at on the Jeep Wrangler assembly line and I can tell you it has a frame.Also someone said that all Dodge Ram trucks were made in Mexico,wrong.They are made in Mexico,St Louis and Warren,Mich.So if you don't know what you are talking about why answer these questions?
