AMC was hybrid w/ Ford and GM parts. GM had a 232 in-line 6. It is easy to get parts for the old AMC's. Just a matter of decifering it is a Ford motor or General Motors. Or even a Chrysler.

i think the 232 is the 4.0L call a wrecker , they have interchange books that will tell all , to the above , Chevs 2nd generation 6 was a 194 , 230 , 250 or 292 .

2006. I very own a 2006 wrangler infinite, and it has an inline 6. Engine is all open, somewhat difficulty-free to artwork on and alter oil. i'm fearful of the recent one. new 2007s have a various engine.
