I work at the Toledo Jeep Wrangler plant and we still build Rubicons. The problem is the dealers are having a hard time of getting them because the Wrangler is in high demand right now.We are working 6 days a week sometimes 7,10 hours per shift,2 shifts building about 600 per day.And demand is at an average of 750 per day. Also we are building a high mix of export vehicles for a March shippment at this time. And then to make matters worse there has been a rail car shortage. No,the rumors of a GM takeover has not effected our production and I don't think Daimler will even sell Chrysler. If you go on the Chrysler website you can veiw dealer inventories in your area.GOOD LUCK

I don't know about halting production on the Rubicon but Chrysler is in alot of financial trouble. The plants are being closed down. GM is looking at buying Chrysler. Some articles say that Jeep will be partnered with Hummer as an off-road division. Maybe a good thing for both Jeep and Hummer. There may be some truth to your question but I'm sure there are still some '07 Rubicons for sale somewhere near you. Just don't give up.

Never trust a salesman. Call other dealers out of the area & see if they have any.
My question is are you really going to take it off road a lot? If not check out the Sahara. Comes with most of the same bells and whistles as the Rubicon.
Buying a Rubicon and not really taking it out is like buying a 42" HD LCD and hooking it up to your parents old roof mount antenna.

Well, on the news recently they dropped a bomb of an anouncement when they stated that the Chrysler corporation (Chrysler,Dodge,Jeep etc.) may be getting bought out by GM. This could mean an end to many of there products because GM will not continue to produce all of them.

Try www.Chrysler.com for dealers who may have one in stock; I doubt that they've halted production.

That is definetly not true. The Jk's are selling like free beer. I just think you have a seriously uninformed sales person. Shop around.
