I mean, what should I expect in terms of a repair/replace bill? Should I still be driving the Jeep? (I only found out yesterday). How much should it cost? The crack was found by a technician during a regular oil change. He also put this notation: PH16 PG.230 TQ25, what does this mean? Does anyone know? How does the housing get cracked in the first place? HELP ME!! (thanks)

PH16 is the numbers on a Fram oil filter that fits several Chrysler vehicles. Don't know what the othere numbers are.
Get some estimates from several reputable shops for the replacement of your shocks and go with the one that gives the best warranty.
Hope you are loving your Jeep as much as I love the ones I have owned.

Shocks wear out. Your vehicle is 7 years old. It's not uncommon for the housing to crack. Usually, it's from rust. It's not an emergency or anything. But get them fixed. They aren't that expensive. A mechanic should be able to replace both rear shocks for under $200. You can still drive the car. Worn out/damaged shocks affect the performance, ride and handling of the vehicle.

This stopped the fan from pushing air throughout the time of the heater. nevertheless felt warmth, it merely did no longer blow. till you're very available and don't concepts getting grimy, you will could take it someplace. A outdoors guy could desire to do this for you as that is merely time eating. no longer a noticeably technical situation. attempt asking on Craigslist for cellular mechs on your community.

If your Jeep wasn't so old, I'd tell you to check on the shock yourself. But, those shocks are due for a change anyway. You can usually buy Monroe replacements for $20-30.00 each and most people can chage the shocks themselves.

You'll need to change all 4 of them and your ride shoudl improve greatly. It's not hard at all. I'd expect it to be around $225-250.00 if you tale it to a shop.
