The specs for the limited version of the Patriot say its ground clearance is 9.0 inches. It doesn't look like it's that much. Is this true? I want a vehicle with a bit more ground clearance and good 4x4 capabilities. This just may be my new vehicle. :-)

Put some hydraulic shocks on it and jack it up
to your desired height... or let it down when your cruising down the freeway

If you're wanting an off road Jeep this is not a good choice. Its a car with a faux Jeep body. Gosh.... I hate to say it but I'd get a Liberty before I'd get a Patriot.

Forget what I just said..... I own a real jeep.....I'll never buy a new faux Jeep.

You want a new Jeep.....go get a 2006 TJ with a 4.0. Now your cooking with fire boy!

If you want a good offroad jeep buy an older one, early to mid 90's jeeps are great for offroad use, and easily modified. The new patriot isn't meant for offroad use.
