Anybody have any feedback on the Jeep Compass? I've seen some negative reviews but was wondering what owners or people who have driven one think. Thanks!

I have one of the first Compass' to roll off of the line (build date 6/06) with almost 12000 mies on it. Absolutly love it! Great ride, great handling, good gas mileage, and no problems. Another place to look for information would be a JeepForum where you'll find information from owners and not the media.

Yahoo user reviews are really good too, and there are alot of them on the Compass, 48 when I looked the other day.
The Compass is a great vehicle, I know because I build them, and the people that I work with are buying them up like crazy.
We also are coming out with the Jeep Patriot at the end of the month, it looks like a small Commandar. Take a look at that too, thats the one Im waiting for. I think its a bit cheaper that the Compass too from what I heard. They have the same motor and everything.

Jeep Compasses are probably one of the most boring SUVs ever, in all honesty. They're weak and break down a lot. Even CarAndDriver refers to the vehicle as a "sad-sack" in their "Rental Car Olympics" section and, when it first came out in 07, they referred to it as a "...a station wagon pumped up to SUV dimentions, and not a Jeep." If you want to get an SUV, you can do a LOT better than the Jeep Compass. The Civic is, in all honesty, an all around better vehicle.

I work on the line making Jeep Compasses and they are awesome vehicles, lots of room and nice features, a sharp looking car. Check out our new Jeep Patriot, I call it a "baby Commander" ; it's nice too. Oh by the way, to the person who commented to a previous question that the Caliber was a Jeep Caliber, WRONG ANSWER - we also make the Caliber where I work and its a Dodge Caliber and also a very nice car. I purchased a jeep compass in September and I absolutely love it!
I just didnt like the options I had to choose from; therefore I conviced the dealer to add leather into my sport at no cost to me! I love it!!!

if you want some real reviews go to msn.com/autos and pick your car, go to the review section and read the user reviews.. thats how i got my car. make sure its the reviews from just people.. they have the pros that do it too. the user reviews ones are better because they tell you all the little things that have gone wrong or right with there cars.. it helps alot and they rate them too.

The Compass has diluted the Jeep name and is no more ready to scale the mountain than Hilary Clinton is ready to lead the US.
I think of it as a bad market move by Dodge.
