I got a new exhaust, radio, 2 whoofers in the trunk, bazooka tube, all new speakers, new petals, shifter (even though it's automatic), and i don't know it still feels like it's missing something. It's a pepsi can blue with a black top.

I have a 1984 Cadillac DeVille with a big, nasty V8 in it that within the past six months started to "surge" while sitting at a light. The surge sounds similar to when a fan motor or something kicks on, (Like I had in another car.) but it yanks the car forward if in drive. Really hard. I have noticed it doing the same surging while in park as well. The engine will idle fine, but the idle will run way up for a second and come back down below normal idle speed. Lately, the car is dying when you stop too quickly at some lights or if you pull it into reverse or drive too fast from a standstill. I have noticed that the car dying is usually on the end of the surges that the engine has as the idle comes down below normal idle speed. I've gotten under the hood and watched the accelerator chain get pulled back whenever it surges and I have no idea what to do about it. I'm thinking of buying the repair book for it, but I figured I would ask here first. Thanks for your time.

You have to try it then turn key off and then try it again, sometimes it starts on second try & sometimes it takes more tries. When it finally starts it runs great. Any ideas. Thanks

Hello

I have both a 92 Safari and a 96 Astro. The A/C system seems to work well in the 92 Safari with the compressor cycling on and off at regular intervals. Is that how it is supposed to work?

On my 96 Astro, I recharged the system myself and now the compessor comes on and stays on. Is that how it is suposed to work?

Does anyone know how to manuely open and close the headlight on a 68 corvette? One will go up and down and the other came up, but won't go down. Do these lights work off of a vacuum tube or something? I noticed the car needs to be running for them to move properly. Could that be the problem maybe?

I took out the starter and the battery, had them both tested and they passed (including the starter solenoid.) You turn the key, there is a single click, you disengage the key, there is another (quieter) single click. It will do this time and time again. Normally for about 6-10 times. Then the starter will engage and start the engine. Now it will not start at all. The truck has the smaller (3.9) engine, single cab, swb, 2wd. Other problems I have fixed were, bad radiator, heater core and water pump. Anyone with true Dodge Knowledge have any suggestions? This is my 19 Y.O. son's car and he can't afford to buy another one, only fix the one that he has. And I do not want him to take it to the dealership, as he cant afford that either, and those people work commission for a living, so I don't want him to take it there for free knowledge, then fix it myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. What seems to be the problem?

Or at least ever was one? Is it like something a rich person would drive? Cause I think now but I'm just wondering...
I think it's a cheap car. And was so even when it was brand new. What do you think? I'd really like to know.

I drive a 1998 Honda Accord and I am planning on purchasing some rims. I am not sure wether to get 17 or 18" because I am not sure how the ride differs between the two sizes. I would like that to be explained.

Also I am stuck between two rims one is a 17" that I am in love with :

The other is an 18" that I adore:

I am not sure which would provide the best drive the 17 or the 18.

If you could help me out with that I would greatly appreciate it and also tell me which rim (out of the two I posted) that you prefer. Thank you in advance!

1996 Ford Taurus GL produces no heat or cool air.

Air motor responds to all four speed control settings with a low to high pitch whirring, but no air is moved. Engine temperature normal even for extended driving periods [hours of driving]. On AC setting, it sounds like compressor is engages.

Just before it stopped working it sounded like something in the air system was banging around. Now, it occasionally will bang around some more, but still without moving any air [hot or cold].

My uneducated guess is that the fan/blower has stopped turning or is damaged, or there is a belt that helps this fan/blower to turn which has broken/come unattached.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
